  1. I can't imagine pocket carrying a pistol over 18oz.  I have a Springfield XDs .45 ACP now and it's on the belt in a holster.  I actually happen to like the little holster that Springfield makes for it.
  2. Vortex makes quality scopes!  Love my Diamondback!!!
  3. I think we will have plenty of advanced notice that the Apocalypse is approaching, but if there wasn't, I sure as hell am not just running willy nilly out of my house with just one firearm.  I will bug in first and second, if I have to bug out, I will be taking everything of value that I have in this house, starting with all my firearms and ammunition.   My first choice in a firearm would be my AR, though for defense.
  4. I would agree with your alls assessment of David Crawford's Lights Out.   Last week the Israeli's reported that they had a cyber attack on their power grid system but were able to successfully fight it off.  This was during the coldest time in the winter their power plants were working at full capacity.   TVA is taking steps to insure a Cyber attack is not likely to succeed. With each passing month, their systems are getting stronger and stronger.
  5. I belong to several FB groups in the Knoxville Area and have purchased and sold through FB for several years now.  I like that I can go to a person's FB page and get an idea of what they are like.  I can't do that here.    I'd be interested in seeing when FB plans on implementing this, because all the groups I belong too are still active as of this morning.  Most of those groups have gone from public or closed to secret this morning.  I'm wondering if FB has told them if they move to secret, then they can continue as before.
  6. I wish Ruger would come out with a 357mag in their American series or Savage would produce one in the Axis line. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  7. I bought a Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 over a year ago and love that little pistol! I was just coming off a really bad experience with a Keltec PF9 and I picked this up to replace it. I've never looked back. Got two custom leather holsters for it and a third magazine, all for right at $350. Base price on them now is around $240 + tax and BGC. BEST DEAL ON THE MARKET AT TGE MOMENT!!! Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk

    CZ75B

Just picked up my first CZ75 from my LGS this afternoon.  Can't wait to get it too the range this weekend!  Who makes a good OWB cancelment holster for it?  I'm not a real fan of leather and hate nylon.

    Rock Island M5

You might try Harvey's Pistol and Pawn in Knoxville. They were selling the M5 back in early December for around $225. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  10. Actually it did on TapaTalk.  I was looking at it on my phone and saw the words. It just didn't make sense.  There seemed to be a lot of repeat sentences and spaced were dropped.
  11. Good info here.  I believe the two digit numbers are short actions and the three digit numbers are long actions.  I own a 10FCP-SR and love it!!!

  14. But if you look at example 1, on page 7 in the ATF Bulletin embedded in this Foxnews article, buying and selling online is NOT ILLEGAL, as long as you are NOT MAKING A LIVING. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/01/05/atf-guidance-on-who-qualifies-as-firearms-dealer.html Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  15. One doesn't. More hype from our dumbass of a President trying to look like he matters. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  16. Nataliano is pandering to his audience IMO. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  17. For those that have questions about who need or does not need an FFL to sell firearms, read the examples on pg 7 and 8 of the ATF Bulletin embedded in this Foxnews article. It's fairly clear cut and was issued today. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/01/05/atf-guidance-on-who-qualifies-as-firearms-dealer.html Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  18. Pretty good looking knife! Did they have a non-serrated blade version? I hate serrations. How long is the blade? Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  19. I had Norinco 1911 back in the early 1990s. It was one of the best basic 1911s on the market at the time. Out shot my buddy's Springfield GI model, regardless of who was shooting it and never jammed with HPs. It had a better fit and finish than an Auto Ordance. I would vompare it favorably to an RI. It was stolen in a burglary in 2005. Wish I had it back!!! :( I would pay $400 for another one. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  20. There are laws against that, but I have never been to a show where there wasn't a private collector selling his collection. To be honest I tend to see the same ones doing this at most every show. They got a hell of a collection!!! I have also heard they might issue an EO stipulating the length of time you must own a firearm, before you can sell it to another private individual without a background check. The term of 1 year was mentioned. Of course, how do you do that in a State like Tennessee, where we don't register guns and there is no easy way to track how long a individual has owned a particular firearm? 21. I was watching Foxnews this morning and they discussed this. In Obama's radio address yesterday, he said he will meet with the AG on Monday, to discuss what he and his team have come up with for expanding background checks for non FFL high volume gun sellers. This seems to be directed at people that rent tables at gun shows and sell large numbers of firearms without an FFL. At least thst was the example used. I am dure there will be options as well. 22. I read it first today on Breathreid and he was quoting an article out if Politico and saying the WH was coming out with an EO next week. According to the Politico article, the EO tightens up the regs regarding who has to sell with an FFL and FFLs reporting lost or stolen firearms via shipping. I didn't see where the article said that it was happening next week though. Then Allen West and Thee Federalist picked it up and said the same thing on their Facebook pages. That's where all this is coming from. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  23. I have one mounted on my HDR, just so I can light up a room, blind the bad guy and get off a quick aimed shot without having to fumble around with two different items at the same time. Seems like a no brainer to me. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  24. I knew a Detective back in the day, that carried his revolver in his brief case. I suspect that wouldn't fly anymore. He worked fraud cases. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  25. I'd say thst might play a small part, but I suspect that the main reason is performance in the field. SO Units tend to get what they want regardless of budget concerns. My guess is the SEALS like and want these. Just don't expect to see them any time soon in regular units. The Regular Army and Marine Corp tend to gollow tgd philosophy of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ehen it comes to weapons. The next service pistol will not be much different than the Beratta, an all steel pistol with a hammer and a manual safety. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
