  1. The 9 gets panned, but I've read good things about the .380.
  2. Had both and prefer old Marlins. But it really is a personal choice.

    Ruger LCR .327

Those price on the American Eagle and and the Hydro-Shoks also reflect 50 rounds vs 20 rounds I bet, As for this being more expensive than .357, I don't know about that. .357 seems to be about $30+ for a box of 50 around here.
  4. The 19.
  5. Good morning! Had to weight in. We have three dogs and three cats. All our animals are considered senior now. All the cats are rescues and two of our dogs are, both seniors. We adopted our Choc. Lab almost three years ago and we estimate she is around 11 or so. Sweetest dog ever! Licks too much though. We got her from Young Williams. She had not been there long. We recently (July) adopted a 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier from a Pit Bull rescue. He came out of Memphis. They got him last December. He was on a 50lb chain and weighed in at 43 lbs. Glad I wasn't the one that actually rescued him, because some one would have been put on the hospital. When we got him, he weighted in at 93lbs. We named him Casanova (actually call him Biggun) because of his disposition. He is a big couch potato, but does love to go outside and run and walk. You are his best friend of you are on one of the couches in our living room. He thinks he is a lap dog! Don't be scared to adopt one of the Bully Breeds. They can make great pets. If you go through a rescue, they will fully vet the animal. In our case, we had to have one that was dog and cat friendly. Pictured are Biggun and Ursa, our senior Choc. Lab. Biggun camping with us several weeks ago. Biggun pretending to be a lapdog. And Max, our senior Llasa Op Su (11). All three are lazy as can be. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  6. The best feeling in my hand is a Browning HP. The best shooting was the CZ-75. The best all around is my FNH FNS and my wife's Glock 17. Never owned a compact 9. For some reason I've always gravited to small .45 acps. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  7. Yes I do. Usually a couple of dollars. Haven't used a Stylist since I was a teenager... along time ago. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  8. I have an FNS in 9mm. It's my favorite 9mm. Up until I bought this one it was a Glock 17 and Browning HP. And it doesn't need a tool for take down!!!
  9. Here is the latest from the National Hurricane Center. Looks like Irma may come to Knoxville for Lunch!
  10. These Mauser .45acp conversions remind me of the old Spanish Destroyer carbine in 9mm Largo. I actually think they'd make a decent 100 yard pick up truck gun. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  11. Beautiful rifle!!!
  12. Anyone but Harwell. I've been bashing her 2A stance every time her FB page shows up on my feed. She catches a lot of flak from the gas tax reform too. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  13. I never been in Harvey's when there wasn't least 3 or 4 people in there at a given time. If you don't like crowds never go on Saturday. The reason is they have great prices, hard to find items and layaway 10% down, 10% a month for 10 months. They call it the "Marriage Saver". Example: a new Taurus 738 .380 for $145 + tax and BGC today. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  14. Harvey's has the SCCY CPX-2 on sale today for $179 + tax and BGC.
  15. Was it loaded? [emoji12] Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  16. I just read that they are scheduled to move as early as 2018.
  17. SCCY (SKKY) had their issues early on with the CPX-1. Taurus seems to have solved their QC issues with this newest generation of pistols. The Millennium G2 is a very good pistol. The one complaint I had with mine is the trigger pull is a bit long.
  18. In fairness to S&W, I am also comparing it to an M&P that I bought new last Fall. Hated that pistol the day I took it home and realized I needed a tool to take it down. It went down hill from there after I took it to the range and realized the horrendous trigger everyone talked about was not an exaggeration. Traded it away for a XDs, also in .45ACP. Hope the other guy was happy with his end of the trade. I know I sure was!
  19. I've had a Glock 17 since 1990 and I think the FNS is a superior pistol. I'm not sure why more police departments are using them. They are far and above a S&W M&P!!!
  20. Harvey's in Knoxville is selling these in black, right now for $189+ tax and BGC. You will not find a better deal on the market!
  21. Springfield's marketing people must have all come from S&W after the 1st M&P series came out.
  22. Where in the heck do you see PLR-16s? I never seen except in magazines and on the net. I thought they weren't real!
  23. Mine shoots 5.56 NATO.
  24. Went to work at 16 for a local cleaning service at the Millers on Henley St, here in Knoxville. Made Foreman of the crew after three months. Later transfered to another part of the company, cleaning schools, where I was also a Foreman. Did that for several years, into college, until I went off to Basic Training with the U.S. Army Reserves. After getting my MOS as a Construction Surveyor, I went to work for a Civil Engineering firm as a surveyor. Later I went into the office as a Draftsman, then later back out into the field as a Survey Party Chief. Then back into the office where I learned CAD. I've been a Civil Designer for several firms, over a period of 27 years. But 5 years ago I changed fields and moved into Substation and Switchyard Electrical Design. I'm now a Senior Physical Designer. While in the Army Reserve, I worked my way up to Construction Inspector, until I left that unit after Desert Storm. After that I went into a Marksmanship training unit. I shot competitively for the ARCOM and also trained marksmanship to units heading to Bosnia. But the thing I've been most proud of is being married to a wonderful woman for 28 years and raising 3 awesome kids! Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  25. Beautiful old war horse!!!
