  1. Beautiful!!!
  2. I always considered the P series pistols to be great values, just overly big and bulky. Much more of a duty/truck/house gun than a concealed carry piece. Several friends and I had the P85/89s and found them to be utterly reliable with any ammunition we tried in them, even that old hard primer Egyptian machine gun ammo you used to be able to by for $50 or so a thousand. Not many premium named handguns could claim that.
  3. I took it as a joke as well. Do like the pistol however. Apologies, if I contributed to any misunderstanding,
  4. hipower, the bid is at $130!!! LMAO! Actually paid $205 for a new one plus tax and TICS last year. I've seen them a bit cheaper though.
  5. If it’s all black, I’ll give you $130. That will give me a matching pair!
  6. What's so great about the P365? For me, such a pistol doesn't answer any of the needs I have. I want a deep concealment piece. The Ruger LCP does that for me. I want a subcompact single stack. The SA XDs .45 acp does that for me. And I want a service sized pistol with lots of capacity, that doesn't pull my pants down round my ankles. I have a FNH FNS and a Glock 17 Gen 2 (gave it to my wife along time ago) for that. I don't think I'm that much different than anyone else. I just am not seeing the niche this new Glock and apparently this Sig are supposed to fill?
  7. Then there is the worst one of all...
  8. Here hold my beer...
  9. What need does this address, that Glock is trying to fill? Not sure I get it's purpose, unless its a pistol for the more limited ammunition capacity states?
  10. Well if it were me, I'd go with a FNH FNS. Best 9mm I've ever shot. Really like mine!!! Comes with three mags too, for around $400. If you would like to try it out, let me know. You supply the rounds and I'll supply the FNS. If you decide on a steel 9mm, not sure you could do better than a CZ75 or a Browning Hi-Power. The CZ will be cheaper than the Browning. I prefer both over the Beretta 92 and the S&W's.
  11. I’ve enjoyed both the ones I’ve had. I think they are a great value. I like the looks of yours a lot. Now that you’ve show how to do it, that project could be done for a lot less! Thanks for sharing and paving the way. Give us a range report when you get back from Bud’s!
  12. Used them a lot back in the 90s. Used to love getting their flyers in the mail. Them and Birmingham Pistol Parlor.
  13. I think the big cats are going to be the next coyotes. Didn't use to have those around the Knoxville area, but now they are quite common. I think we will see the same thing with these big cats in the coming years. Last week, I watched a video of a cougar preying on a house cat. It was no contest.
  14. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Lux-Pro-250-Lumen-LED-Flashlight-Battery-Included/50333209 Picked this up a couple of weeks ago. So far its been a dandy!!! still using the factory batteries! I'd definitely buy another one!!!
  15. I'm pretty sure it was just a rebranding. I've had two and like them both. Excellent buy for the money!

    New job

I have friends that use it on the weekends, when they want to go out partying, but won't drink and drive. I think it's a money maker, if you put a little thought into it.
  17. I just don't see this going for more than $500. 8 mags isn't a big deal to me. 3 is all I ever want for pistols. I've never worn a mag out yet.
  18. I'm thinking that since we can carry any blade we want, in the Great State of Tennessee, I would just want the sheath. I'd be carrying that blade around while wearing my chain mail and Viking Helm!!! Really beautiful piece! Along those same lines, my wife and I have been watching Netflix The Last Kingdom, which is about a warrior named Uthred, who fights for Alfred the Great against the Danes in South England circa 890. Uthred carries a sword and long heavy Seax similar to this one, but throughout the show, you see several examples of smaller Seax. It was the quintessential Bowie knife of the period and place. For those with a more literary mind, this show is based on a series of books by Bernard Cornwell, with the same title. In the first book, Cornwell goes into depth about the Seax that Uthred made and wielded.
  19. I like the looks of this!!! Looks like the barrel is completely shrouded now. I guess we are still limited to the same old 10 round mags? I wish HP would reconfigure the mag well to accept Glock mags. They could sell a ton of them!!!
  20. I believe I've seen several episodes where he had a shotgun.
  21. Can we just go back to 49 states in the union and give California back to Mexico? I'm sure Mr. Swalwell would be popular in the Mexican Legislature, since Mexico has strict gun control already. On a more serious note, I'm note really sure that would start a Civil War, but I think it would cause a lot of unrest, which some Democrats would probably love, because there would be few conservative voters afterwards.
  22. Several of us ought to go in together and buy one of these!!!
  23. If I were going to replace my LCP, I'd probably go with a little Diamondback DB9. I really like that size and it would consolidate my calibers.
  24. The LCP has it's uses. I carry mine probably 90% of the time.
