We do not typically worry about Hurricanes here in TN. When they get this far North, they are at best Tropical Depressions and moving fast. Therefore in the rural counties, building codes and zoning laws can be very lax. If you want stricter codes and zoning, look at the more metropolitan areas of Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville or Memphis. From your original post it seems you are looking in the lesser populated areas. Perhaps, areas like Jackson, Johnson City, Manchester or Morristown might be more suitable.

Depends on the caliber and type! I'd work for a box an hour. Of course, then you have other products like firearms and optics! LOL!

Had 300+ in the first PT111G2 without a hiccup, before trading it away. Working on 700 on the second one, with no hiccups. Just gave it to my son. The 627 only has 50 mixed rounds of .357 and .38 through it. The on thing I dislike about the PT111 is the plastic sights, but I haven't had an issue with it. Just wish they were steel or aluminum. No, not a bunch of rounds. But enough that I was comfortable carrying them from time to time. Probably about normal for about 90% of firearms made and sold here in the USA. I don't go shooting everyday like some that seem to have unlimited resources. One a every month or two on average. Sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. Have you seen a lot of the G2s sent back? Or are you describing older ones too? How about the revolvers? What shop do you work at or own? If they are not good quality firearms, why sell them?

Actually, I’ve had two of the little PT111 G2s and both have been excellent pistols. I also bought a 627 .357, that I really like as well. Fit and finish isn’t a S&W, but I paid half of what I would have paid for a 686. I’m happy with it. I also have a .44mag in lay-a-way right now too.

They are hit or miss. I for one appreciate what he has put out about the Spectrum. You are free to to not read and move along.

Probably best not to buy in Sevier County. The Tourist trade has really driven land prices sky high. I have friend that lives in Sevier County, on Douglas Lake. He's in the process of looking for a farm and has zeroed in on Jefferson County. He told me the other day that as soon as you cross into the Jeff County, the land prices drop by about 25%. Land in Blount County is also on the rise, also due in some part to the Tourist trade, but also because there is a lot of flat land for building subdiviions. Blount County does their best to throttle new growth though, with very stringent subdivision codes. But it's starting to get out of hand there. Traffic is pretty bad in Maryville at rush hour. Probably your best bit is Jefferson, Hamblen or Cock Counties, if you are looking to stay close to the Sevierville area. Personally, I'd go to a bit further north north in East Tennessee and look around Greenville and Johnson City or further south around Athens or Cleveland. ORSA is on the west side of Oak Ridge and has a 1000 yard range, as well as shotgun, pistol, and other ranges. Not sure of the cost. But I would guess it to be in the !75 to 200 range.

For a .380, I 'd run at least 200 rounds through it. And expect to have sero issues out of at the end. .380s are notorious for that, new.

Personally, I'm not a fan of adjustable sites on a combat/carry gun. I'm not shooting bullseye targets. And of course JMB didn't put adjustable sights on the original 1911s.

I'm not a fan of this bill. We got absolutely nothing out of it and if what OS said was true, that two states have already dropped us from reciprocity, then we went backwards! One of the reasons I got a HCP was to be able to carry when outside the state on vacation. Also I think some sort of minimal training is necessary. Merely showing "competency" in my book is not enough!

You're probably not going to see that money back. Merchandise will be sold off to other stores and what's not sold will be auctioned off. Creditors will come first for what money is left after that. I would imagine that those that had items on consignment there would be able to get those back at some point, but I hope you have your paper work.

I used to have a .38 Colt Agent. I put a Tyler TGrip on it. Did wonders for controlling recoil, without increasing the size of the pistol. I like the grips on this little 442 a lot better though.

Totally agree with this. I actually like the PCC and would consider purchasing one down the road. My next want is really a .357 or .44 mag lever gun though. Probably much cheaper to get the PCC, now that I think about it.

Man, back in the late 70’s I carried a Uncle Henry Folding Hunter in a leather pouch on belt all the time. And there shotguns and rifles in the gun racks outside in the school parking lot. Times reall did change. College kids are now scared to carry pocket knifes on their college campuses because they are weapons. Sad.
