NRA leadership, just as obtuse and opaque as any .gov

I think they are scared of losing their cushy jobs. -
It doesn't look anything like the Old King Cobra, sadly. This one reminds me of a upgraded Charter Arms. I do not like the contours.

Me personally, I don't mind loose as long as it shoots a decent group. I definitely all about balance between accuracy and dependibility. Big change in platform between the LCP and a 1911 style of pistol though, going from a double action only to a single action.

I think the last Springer I had was made in Brazil. At least the frame was. I think they are producing them all here now.

Hope you are feeling a bit better this afternoon!!!

PA Vet and collector - Latest victim of the media fear machine

Wonder how his neighbors are going to feel, if he gets cleared and all those weapons are returned? -
Congrats on your purchase! About three years ago, I sold off my last 1911 and went with a more modern design SA XDs .45. But I starting to get a hankering for another 1911. I just want a GI edition. Really looking hard at the Tisas U.S. Army 1911a1, because it looks like an exact copy of what I carried in the service. Not looking for a carry gun, but more of a range toy.

Hipower, your wife is a wise woman. Sounds like you need to get out a move a bit. I feel much better getting out and moving around. Even if the gun show is crappy, it’s still guns! Just don’t take that S&W .44 with you.

I turned 45 recently and this was the present I got myself

Mine happened at 49. Guess I’m a late bloomer, compared you geezers. Fast forward 7 years, I’m wearing progressives and I love them! Great for the computer, books, technical drawings, driving, etc. The key is to spend the money on the widest progressive field available. I even had a pair of sun glasses made. So much more comfortable than contacts! And I look smarter too! -
There is a wanted poster with you face on it. What a freakin’ steal that was! Congratulations!!!

A pic would be nice, you big tease!

Amen!!! Sadly, so has mine.

I think if he wants to change the laws, he will have to call a special session of the State Legislature. Seems like I read or heard, their next session is not til 2020 or 2021. It’s a long time away.

My wife has been saying the same thing for a while now.

Agreed. Merely reporting what I read. We've become desensitized here at TGO, with these occurrences. A year or two ago, we'd have been pages deep into this, but not anymore.

Because the Feds are in on the tax money grab too. It's called being a hypocrite.

Authorities are describing the rifle used by the gunman, as an "AR15 style rifle" in .223, according to NBC News.

I actually handled one today at Harvey’s, in Knoxville. It’s your typical GI Spec pistol. But the one I handled, had a great trigger! I talked to the guy behind the counter, and he said he got bored yesterday and decided to take it apart a see what the innards looked like on a $350 1911. He was impressed. Said it was very sound with just a few rough edges. He said he did a couple of things to smooth out that trigger, but didn’t polish or stone anything. He said he was impressed. The trigger was pretty dang good, whatever he did too it. So now I’m trying to decide whether or not to trade my lay-a-way Taurus .44 Tracker in for one. I ditched my last 1911 in favor of a more modern design (XDs .45acp, which I love), but now I want another 1911, like what I carried occasionally in the service and this fits the bill, spectacularly! It a nice quandary.

Love Moras! Great knives for the money. If you want a good tactical folder, besides the ones already mentioned (They are excellent choices BTW), check out the Onterio Rat 1 or Rat 2. They are both in your price range and much better than either of the two you have picked out. They are built like tanks! I believe both are available at Walmart. https://www.knifecenter.com/item/ON8848/ontario-rat-model-1-folding-knife-satin-plain-blade-black-nylon-handles https://www.walmart.com/ip/Knife-RAT-1-Knife-5in-Closed-5-inch-closed-linerlock-By-Ontario/558096508?wmlspartner=wmtlabs&adid=22222222222113440023&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=o&wl2=c&wl3=75179174499651&wl4=pla-4578778744131362&wl5=&wl6=&wl7=& wl10=Walmart&wl12=558096508_10000011304&wl14=rat 1 knife&veh=sem&msclkid=98bb8201f67211b01530df67683c7398 I own a Mora Companion Robust that I carry when I hike. Dominos ? Peter King backs assualt weapons ban
Moped replied to Morgan88's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Honestly, if you talk to New Yorkers from Upstate, they hate NYC and their dominance of politics as much as we do! They are just like Illinois. Downstate there is completely different from Chicago and it's suburbs.
