  1. It could happen, if the State Constitution were to change, but it’s highly doubtful that would happen here, in Tennessee.
  2. That will probably happen to us one of these days, with Metro Nashville growing like it.
  3. So I’m assuming all the rest are compacts or subcompact.
  4. There are mountains in Hardin County?
  5. It’s an older design. The Shield my just be more inherently accurate, than the 3913.
  6. The one in Knox County takes an hour or more and I’m not known for my patience when it comes to waiting in line. Once my fingerprints were made, it was less than a week for me.
  7. I use the Nemesis and Fobus for mine. Both work great! Hadn’t thought about a VersaCarry, but between the first two holster, I’m not really sure I need anything else.
  8. Be careful if you try a Taurus G2C .40 or whatever they are calling them now. You might like it too, much to the chagrin of the haters.
  9. I have a 442 that I occasionally carry. Carries well IWB.
  10. We cut the cord back in August. While we’ve seen a significant savings, it’s not as much as I’d hoped. We had Comcast Xfinity and that still the only game in town for us. ($114) I like to watch UT sports, so we still had to find a platform with ESPN. Ended up with Sling TV which is $30 a month. We had Netflix and Amazon Prime before and share that with the kids ($14 & $11). My son share his HULU with us. We ended up cutting our cable bill about $100 or so.
  11. Excellent post! The only reason I never got on the 40 S&W bandwagon was, when the 40 got popular, I was still shooting on the ARCOM Rifle Team and I was getting all the rifle and pistol ammunition I wanted. That included 9mm. I saw no reason to add another caliber to the mix. I resisted that idea, even after I left the Army Reserve. It's just been recently that I added calibers other than 9mm and .45ACP to my collection. In the last few years, I've added .32ACP, .380ACP and .38/357. Still don't feel the need to add .40 S&W to the mix, though, so your ammunition isn't going to dry up anytime soon, because I'm out buying loads of it.
  12. Almost the exact opposite of me!
  13. Of the last seven handguns I have acquired, only one has been a full sized or service pistol, a Taurus Tracker Model 627 .357 Mag. The rest have either been compacts, subcompacts or mouse guns. What's the last service or full sized pistol you bought? What was the last compact or subcompact pistol you bought? Which came first? And GO!
  14. One other thing about these little fire crackers. They are not range guns. Going to the range with a box of 50 rounds can honestly be a bit painful at the completion of the the box. They are not fun pistols to shoot and they aren't really for ranges much past 7 to 10 yards. They're a "Get off Me" gun with a bit more punch than a .25 or .32ACP. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either pistol. But it might help to go shoot both of them at a local range. If at the point, you are sold on one over the other, that's the one I'd get. If you can't see much of a difference, betweemn the two, I'd go with whichever one is the cheaper. Harvey's currently has both in stock, I believe. They were selling the Pico for 199.99, +TT, last week. The week before that, they had the Ruger LCP for $179. I've seen the LCP IIs running as low as $230.
  15. I my summer pistol is a LCP. I really like the size! Great for slipping into a pocket, with a couple of spare mags in the other pocket. That being said, I'd look really hard at the LCP II for just a little more. The sights are much better and so is the trigger. Extra mags are the same price, but they will not fit in the LCP and vice versa. One thing that chaps my arse is that Ruger will not sell these little pistols with two mags. So you end up purchasing a couple of more mags for $30+ a pop! I ended up purchasing 4 all toegther. You might want to look at the little Berreta Pico too. It's about the same size and price as the LCP II and has good sights. Not sure about the trigger. But it also comes with two mags. Ruger be like Berreta and start selling two mags with your pistols!!! https://www.personaldefenseworld.com/2017/05/ruger-lcp-ii-beretta-pico/
  16. You can rest tomorrow. You’re retired.
  17. Make sure you have ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS IN HAND when you go to the DMV. Else you will be making a return visit. Also your birth certificate better be an official copy, with either a visible watermark or embossed, otherwise, they will not accept it and you will be making a return visit, after you order a new one from the State in which you were born. I had to order a new one from my state of birth.
  18. Damn! I missed this. Probably nothing left. I did tell my daughter to go by there and see if she could find any .32ACP for her Keltec.
  19. Ok, whose bought one already?
  20. Wonder which models they will be manufacturing there? Didn't see anything mentioned in the article.
  21. I'd much rather have that for $500+!
  22. Love m FNS-9!!!
  23. Bud's has them starting at $322 and going up. Sevierville is just about 25 minutes from my house. I already have a Ruger MkIII Target pistol. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/35395/ruger+mark+iv+22%2f45+target+22lr+55"+blue+10%2b1
  24. Ehhh. I'm not rushing out to spend $500 on a .22LR Glock. I don't carry one now and probably won't in the future. I'd much rather have a Nice Ruger Mk 4 for a lot less money. But you Glock guys go for it!
  25. Man. I looked at these several times. I think it's a great size for a little .22. BUT, I think Grayfox54 may have understated how horrible the double action trigger pull really is! . It may be the worst trigger I have ever seen!!! Single action isn't that bad, but I would estimate that the double action is 18+ lbs, at least!!! No need for a safety on this pistol, that's for sure. Harvey's in Knoxville, has both the blue and nickel finishes for about this same price. Other than the trigger, it seems like a nice little pistol, though. I was inpressed with the fit and finish. It's about what you'd expect from Walther.
