Beautiful pistol!!!

If only it were a .32ACP! GLWS!

Personally, I no longer feel comfortable in Asheville. I’ve found the people are as rude as any around. Mostly younger know it alls that don’t like older folks and ideas. COVID pretty much ruined that city. Boone is a much friendlier town and the home of Mast General Store. Plenty of things to see and do in the East Tennessee/Western North Carolina, especially if you love to camp and hike.

My wife and I saw it this afternoon. Very powerful message. The left is really going after this movie. Honestly, after watching, I don't understand why. There was no political message. Nothing against the Left or the Right. It does make a powerful point about child sex trafficking. At the end it posts some sobering facts about how there are more people that are slaves now, than at any other point in human history and that it is estimated that millions are children. How any mainstream political group could be against this, is beyond my comprehension. I agree with @NoBanStan, that here was no Qanan vide to this movie. I do urge everyone to go see it!!!

These look great Greg! Several years ago, I bought a handcrafted wallet. It's the most durable wallet I've ever owned. Honestly cannot tell that I carry it every day! And it's stuffed full of everything but photos and cash!!! Handcrafted the right way, wallets like these will far outlast commercially made wallets!!! Even those made by Maxpedition!!!

@Scottythe mags do tend to feel flimsy, but they're not under that much strain. You can easily hold the mag back with your thumb, unlike a lot of other mags that have a thumb stud on them (thinking Ruger MK pistols). Thanks for the link! I think I will pick up one of these for testing purposes. You're right @pop pop, these are full sized pistols, but I can conceal one with some of the holsters I have for other 9mm service sized pistols. I think they are about the same size as a Glock 19, but lighter. For carry by someone that can't really pull back the slide on a centerfire pistol, or handle the recoil, I would think the new compact model, might be ideal. @Jamie JacksonI'm jealous! I had intended to go to the range today and shoot my new Roscoe (S&W Mdl 10) after I mowed! But I am pooped. Push mowing a steeply sloped yard at 60, is not for the faint of heart!!! As for carry, I typically EDC a Ruger Max9 with a CT1550 RDS or a LCP Max. The Max is seeing a lot of carry during the summer! I am thinking seriously about starting to carry a fanny pack so I can get away with carrying the Max9 more often. Being an old man now, I don't really care how it looks. Who am I trying to impress!

I've not tried these, but would be interested in trying. Do you have a link? I didn't see them on the Taurus site. @Jamie Jackson glad you liked it! With careful loading, I've not experienced the issue with 45 degree angle. Honestly, I could see this pistol being a great one for disabled people. The slide is easy to manipulate, and it has plenty of capacity and it's lightweight. It is a .22 and some have issues with that, but I bet there are more .22s carried than any other caliber, if truth be known.

I was reading an article this morning about stopping Mass Shooters, that was first reported in USAToday. In it, the article states that there was an "armed presence" at the school. I thought the reason that Covenant was chosen by the shooter, was because there was no armed security at the school. @Snaveba could you shed some light on this? He spent a career helping others after shootings. This is what he thinks will stop them. (msn.com)

I'm with both of you gentlemen! I completely stopped shooting my Ruger MKII Target pistol and gave it to my dad. The TX-22 is a whole lot more fun and just as accurate. And so far, mine has not been finicky at all. Love Federal Punch, which I've seen other have an issue with.
-
Someone is having a bit too much fun with this thread... BTW, did they ever catch who did this?
-
I believe the TX-22 is made so that it can be dry fired without damaging the firing pin, unlike just about every other .22 semi-auto or revolver on the market. Why can't I dry fire my .22 pistol or revolver? – Taurus USA

Do we need an intervention? You seem to have an addiction, my friend! Beautiful set of lever actions!

Magpul makes grips similar to this. I have pair in gray. A coworker gave them to me, but I never put them on my Tisas 1911.
-
Been thinking about putting on my Glock 45, which is my bedside home defense pistol. But I do also occasionally use it for a carry as well. So that would add the cost of a new holster as well. Just another one to go in the holster drawer.
-
This! I'm not wading into a firefight unless I have to. Again, this! I do occasionally carry a LCP Max or a S&W 442, but most of the time I carry a Ruger Max 9.
-
Just say your ad. Thanks! Sounds like I am in line.
-
Would you be interested in selling the wood grip panels? I have a Tisas BM380 Fatih, that I think they would fit on. Let me know if you go and how much. Thanks!
-
This is exactly why I carry all the time!!!
-
Hey. if you are selling it, I might be interested!

My experience goes back to the FNS9. I found it to be one of the most shootable pistols out there. But I found out that they had a documented tendency to go off by themselves, so I decided to trade mine in for a Glock 45. I don't regret that decision. But I do sorta wish I had gone with the 509. Now that's strictly a civilian's POV. When I took my HCP with the FNS, I shot the s@3$ out of the center of the target. A retiring KCSO Deputy went through the class with me, using his Glock 22 and... well, let's just say his group was a "bit" larger than mine. And the weekend before. he had put 1500 rounds through that pistol over a weekend department qualification (according to him).

That's a hell of a deal!!! If you weren't on the other end of the state, I'd take it!!! GLWS!!!

Had to take a drug test yesterday for new employment. Personally, I'm in favor of legalizing Mary Jane. And hope that once enough states legalize it, so will the Feds. The war on drugs has been a huge and incredibly costly mistake. But I know that's a minority opinion around here. I'm okay with that.

Damn. I must be a bear. I general don't like people either and do my best to avoid them!

I can't. Not a fan of lattes and I don't own a SIG.
