  1. 331 million... Cannabilism!!!
  2. Winn-Dixie has announced they will not require patrons to wear masks in their stores. Were you in Knox County or Sevier County? For the most part, everywhere I was at this weekend in Knox County and Knoxville, most everyone was wearing a mask. I'm talking almost total compliance.
  3. I was in Acadmeny Sports and Shoot Point Blank yesterday. Both places were low on fireamrs and ammunition. AS had hardly any pistol ammunition at all! Shoot Point Blank just had the more uncommon stuff like 10mm. They had a little bit of .38. Oddly enough, they had no 40 S&W. Even that's starting to disappear.
  4. Knox County reported 93 new cases this morning, with another death (19) and 44 in the hospital. from Last Monday morning, we've averaged 91 new cases per day. The curve has gotten much steeper this month. But It's been my observation that the people in Knox County are, for the most part, wearing the masks. As more and more retail places make masks mandatory and enforce it, I think we'll just about everyone wearing them.
  5. Wow! Those are beautiful! Happy Birthday!
  6. It will not replace my Rossi 92. Pass.
  7. Nice to put a face to a name. Nice fish too, even if it is a carp.
  8. You need a kayak. I’m not quite as ancient, but I have a blast with mine. It just happens to be an Angler kayak too.
  9. This is why I like Gov. Lee’s approach. Every county and city is different. The local leaders know their areas better than the State does. And if they aren’t getting the job done, the State can still step in and do what’s necessary. Today, Knox County added 147 new cases, with no deaths and 44 people in the hospital. Biggest one day jump in Knox County.
  10. I think Kemp's move was a huge mistake. I really kinda like what we are doing here. Give the Mayors and the Health Departments the best data daily and let them make the decision. If the State see it going sideways they can always step in an impose a mask requirement for a particalar county, area or the whole state. But damn, I sure wouldn't box anyone in.
  11. Well, I figured out earlier in the week, that they only update the stats for the total ICU beds and ventilators on Wednesdays, We are doing great on ventilators, but our bed capacity is running at 91+% with 24 ICU Beds open. To me, that seems scary. Of those ICU beds being filled right now, 51 are COVID-19 Patients and 26 COVID-19 patients are on ventilators. These last stats are updated daily, so those numbers are what was put out this morning.
  12. Y'all probably get tired of hearing the statistics for Knox County, but I'm gonna give it to you anyway! I think it gives us a good snapshot for a midsized city. I'd like to see what over metropolitan areas across the state look like, too. 91 new cases were reported yesterday, with hospitalizations increasing to 47. Along with 3 more deaths. The toll stands at 17. Looking at the age groups, 2 where from 18 to 44, 5 from 45 to 64, and 10 from the 75+ group. 6 were female and the rest male. 7 were black, 6 were white, 4 were unknown and 2 were Hispanic. The black community has been hit hard. A bit of interpolation here, but 30 where hospitalize and 7 died. Whites, on the other hand, had 96 hopsitalized, with 6 deaths. I'm assuming those that died all went to the hospital.
  13. Another death in Knox County overnight. 68 more cases and 4 more people in the hospital. I figured out they seem to be updating the ICU bed count only once a week. Today they updated it. There are 24 unoccupied ICU beds out of 272 total ICU beds. That puts is at 91.2% occupany.
  14. Knox County reported 118 new cases today, another death (14 total now) And 40 hospitalized. https://covid.knoxcountytn.gov/case-count.html
  15. Three more deaths in Knox County as of this morning. Bringing the total to 13. And 41 in the hospital. Since July 1st, we've had 8 deaths. In the previous 3 months we only had 5 deaths.
  16. I was looking for .380 on Saturday and no had that or 9mm. I saw .380 online for $1 a round, as I was looking yesterday and that was for copper HPs by Legend.
  17. Thanks! Lots of good info here!
  18. Bet they do now. I have a friend in Sevier County, that is in the hospital with it. He was diagnosed last week with it, and his wife found him passed out in their bedroom last Monday. He was in ICU for a while, but is doing much better. I didn’t ask if he wore one or not. Wasn’t a concern at the moment. He is still in the hospital.
  19. 8 years ago my oldest (17 at the time) went to the Old City with two her friends and one of her friend’s mom for dinner. Later that evening, she was ready to come home and called me to come and get her. As I was going out the door, I picked up my Colt Agent .38 and tucked it in the pocket of my hoody. When I got there, I texted her to come to the car. While I was waiting, a gentleman attempted to open the passenger side door, which was locked. He then hit the window with his fist, as I pulled the Colt. As soon as he saw it, he put up his hands and backed up and walked off. My daughter and her two friends, after witnessing all that and walked up to the van. They were smart enough not to get close enough to be involved in the situation. I carry something everyday. It might be a LCP, or a 442 or a PT111 G2, or a XDs .45ACP, but I always have something on my person.
  20. I picked up a new Tisas B380 (licensed copy of the Beretta 84) from Bill’s Outpost ( great people and a great experience) yesterday and now I’m on the hunt for some SD ammunition. Tell me what you all like!
  21. I’m beginning to see what you all mean about always being able to find .40. I bought a new .380 from Bill’s Outpost in Maryville (great people btw. My first pistol from there and I had a great experience!). Anyway, I spent the next 3 hours looking for more .380 rounds. FINALLY called Harvey’s and they had some target loads for $18 for 50 rounds. But the three places I went to first, had plenty of .40 S&W. I hate you guys.
  22. I have literally a whole drawer full of knives. They include Kabars, Helle, ESEE, Bokers, Keyshawn’s, Spydercos, Cold Steels, CRKT, Gerbers, Svords etc. I’m 57 years old. I love to camp, hike and kayak. And my two constant companions in the outdoors, the last 5 or 6 years are a Victorinox Deluxe Tinker and a Mora Companion HD. Neither knife costs me more than $25. And the Deluxe Tinker does double duty as my everyday EDC. I also have a Buck 110 that rides in my truck, but it’s not been out in a year or so.
  23. I believe Knoxville PD is using .45ACP.
  24. I’ll check them out.
  25. Pretty sure the rest of the state is too. I will say that since Knox County imposed the mask rule, a vast majority of folks are abiding by it! That's nice to see. Sevier County worries me. There's a lot of folks coming there for vacation and bring Rona with them. Found out Tuesday evening that my oldest's AAU coach, who works at a shoe store came down with it last week. His wife found him passeed out in the bedroom Monday and called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He was in a bad way, but had improved when I talked to her Tuesday evening.
