  1. I’ve bought too many this year and my wife still hasn’t said anything. But...

    Taurus G3

I’ve had two PT111 Millennium G2s (same pistol as the G2C). Traded the first one away and missed it so much, I bought another one, when they were still dirt cheap. I think they’re great pistols and I quite suspect that the G3 is every bit as good. I love the second strike capability! It’s in my rotation now.
  3. Sorry, it’s been a while. I had surgery on Monday. Just getting to the point that I’m feeling a bit better. Since last Saturday, Knox County Has reported 7 deaths. On a great note, they only have 16 Newly hospitalized with COVID-19 out of 124 new cases. As of Wednesday, there were 152 hospitalized, with 65 in ICU and 46 on a ventilator.
  4. Your really making me want one of these.
  5. That brings it to $414.68, out the door.
  6. 153 new cases in Knox County this morning and 2 more deaths.
  7. Oops! I mis-spoke. Harry’s Pawn had them this weekend for $374.99 +tics and taxes.
  8. I think the Tisas brand is good, over all. Tanker may have gotten a lemon at the time. I own a Tisas Fatih B380 (copy of the Beretta 85) and it’s first rate quality built. It’s starting to change my mind on the .380 round. I’m seriously considering an SDS 1911a1 now. It looks just like the .45 acp I carried in the Army, without the wear. And at $379 out the door, I think it’s a steal.
  9. How much was the shipping?
  10. Knox county Health Department is reporting 120 new cases this morning, with two more deaths. That bring the deaths to 33, since this all started and 28 to end the month of July.
  11. The trend has been rising. I suspect that this is an blimp and expect the cases to go back up tomorrow.

    MEECES!

We want to see the fugly one!!! I carry my little LCP a lot. In fact I might or might not have it in my pocket now.
  13. Only 108 new cases reported in Knox County this morning, but 4 more deaths. That brings the total to 31. To add some perspective to that, we went from sometime in April til July 2 with only 5 deaths. Since July 2, we've had 26 deaths or almost a death a day in Knox County. I believe today's count of 4 is the highest one day total. Age Breakdowns for Deaths are as follows. 0-17______ 0 18-44_____ 3 45-64_____ 8 65-74_____ 3 75+ ______ 17 You old geezers need to stay home and wear your damn masks! https://covid.knoxcountytn.gov/case-count.html
  14. Knox County reported 163 more positive tests and another death.
  15. Knox County's new numbers form this morning. 167 new cases, 1893 active cases. with three more deaths for a total of 26. Hospitalizations are going down though. Only 37 currently in the hospital.
  16. Real life sometimes interferes. I have a co-worker that got it last week Saw in the office last Monday. He started feeling ill on Wednesday and went and got tested (positive). He told my boss that it was like a real bad case of the flu with a really nasty headache. He's in his med 30's, with a wife and little kids. Thinks he might have contracted it at church, the weekend before. UT Hospital here in Knoxville, has the same requirement. I have surgery on Monday and have to be tested on Friday and quarentine the whole weekend.
  17. The U.S. Navy is now employing a laser rifle for use as a deterrence device. Maritime law does not allow a laser to be used to permanently blind an individual, so this one only temporarily affects eyesight and optical equipment. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/35106/check-out-this-sailor-holding-a-laser-dazzler-rifle-aboard-nuclear-submarine-uss-minnesota Looks like they took a Butler Creek folding stock for a 10/22 or Mini 14 and added a laser and scope to it. Pretty cool!
  18. Academy Sports was damn near out of firearms period. Harvey's is about the same way. IBoth are bare as a baby's butt. On the other hand Cross Roads Firearms, near me, still has a good selection of firearms and at reasonable prices. Ammunition is another matter, though.
  19. 137 new cases this morning and another death. I heard the big surprise was that the Federal COVID Advisor Team was in Knoxville two weeks ago and released their recommendations yesterday. They are recommending we shut down bars and sitdown dining inrestaurants again, along with gyms and other businesses. Basically we'd go back like it was in April.
  20. 181 new cases reported this morning in Knox County!
  21. Well, not so fast. They backed off that stance and now will be requiring masks, at least in some of their independently owned stores. Knox County had another 123 new cases yesterday with 38 hospitalized and 1 more death. We went 3 months with only 5 deaths. Juky has not been a good month.

    MEECES!

I remeber John being a member here, back in the day. He was a great man and a great resource. Sad that we lost him. I think the Tactical Professor really has some interesting points in this video. A lot of people think their gearing up for the OK Corral, type of gunfight, where you are standing and fighting it out to the death. In some cases that might be true, but I agree with him that from a self defense stand point, out on the street, most of the time, all we really want to do is break contact with the attacker. Smaller handguns have a definite place in every person's aresenal. And I also especially like the .32ACP, even though I currently sport a LCP in .380. I'm actually faster and more accurate with the Keltec P32. One of these days I will get another one.

    MEECES!

I'm the proud owner of a Keltec P32 .32ACP (currently on loan to my daughter) and a Ruger LCP (basically the same gun, just a tiny bit beefier). The Mouse Guns have their place and everyone should own a couple or three. I wouldn't mind owning a nicer end .25 at some point. Don't know that I would carry it much, but I think their kinda cool.
  24. On another thread, we were talking about the availablity of 40S&W when everything else was sold out. Several 40 Guys were talking about that being a plus. But I think the ammo shortage at LGS has finally caught up to the 40. On a side note, I joined the Bud's Team last night and was able to ordered .380acp 80Gr HPs. It was only open to Bud's Team members.
