Figured it out. Thanks for the help, Dave!

222 new cases reported by Knox County Health Department! That’s up from 157 yesterday and the biggest reported one day total so far! 62 dead and 50 in the hospital.

Prettiest one you’ve made yet, IMO!

Where can I get cheap 38spl caliber ammo?
Moped replied to darob's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That's just Fkn' ridiculous right there. I feel abused just looking at it!!! Seriously, if you walk into RK at the right time, they were selling a 50rd box for $17.99. I'm not sure of the brand they put out, but it was in a red and black box, the best I remember. Didn't pay that much attention to it, since that wasn't what I was looking for. -
I couldn't even watch that whole video. UGGG! What a piece of crap.

I still got a Gen 2 and the Tupperware to go with it!

Legality of SBR for concealed carry

Welcome to the forum! We do get a bit contankerous from time to time, but its a good group with lots of great information! -
Dang you guys! I was in Crossville yesterday and stopped in an Antique store with my wife. Saw a couple of the Camillus Marine fighting knives and ended up picking up one of them. Camillus had the primary contract to make the MK II knife for the Navy and the Marines in WW II, through the Vietnam War and afterwards. It’s the same knife as the famous KABAR. I really have no idea why the KABAR is the more famous knife, other than there were fewer made. Anyway, this is a commercial version made in the 90s Or early 2000s. And before you ask, I’m a fan of Camillus knives. They were a great American knife company before mismanagement caused them to go under in 2007. edit: Figured it out!

This was Geco 115gr. I’ve always had good luck with them.

Picked up 5 boxes of 250 rounds of 9mm ball ($13.99)and 3 boxes of 20 rods of SIG/Sauer .380 JHP ($14.99) at the Rural King in Crossville today. Happened to walking in as they were restocking. After I purchased 4 boxes, I went out and got my wife and she bought 4 more. There was a limit of 4 boxes of pistol, 4 boxes of rifle and 4 boxes of shotgun ammunition. .22LR counts as pistol ammunition. They also put out .38 Spl JHP and 7.62x39 while we were there. They still had lots of hunting ammunition. So did Dunham’s. But Dunham’s hardly had any pistol ammunition. Just oddball stuff like 460S&W.

I imagine that 5.56 does a number on brain tissue. Probably turns to a lot of it into liquid, from the hydrostatic shock.

I have an idea for a storm shelter.

My parents had a space like that under their porch. It was a lot of storage room. Just becareful, it will stay damp, if you don't take steps to seal it and de-humidify it. -
No doubt.

Knox County has lowered their daily count, but it constantly fluctuates. Yesterday there 127, but today it was 47. Deaths continue to rise. We are at 52.

Pretty cool looking shotgun! I’d like to see it in a 20ga.

Yes, it's on mine and no I didn't download it. It does say that in order to turn it on, I have to install a participating app.

Why aiming for center mass is important
Moped replied to ironsniper1's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Due to time, I haven’t had the opportunity to read all the comments, but will when I get back home. I wanted to relay to you all, a conversation I had with a retiring Deputy Sheriff, two years ago, while taking my HCP course. He was shooting a Glock 23 and I was shooting my FNS9 (my groups were better , but I digress). We were talking about police shootings and he said, that they were seeing more and more of the bad guys utilizing bullet proof vests and they were rethinking center mass aiming, because of it. He said they were starting to shift to the lower abdomen, with the thought that if they hit one of the large femoral arteries there or in the upper leg, the bad guy would quickly bleed out, in seconds. It made sense to me. just wanted to pass that little tidbit along. -
Over the years, I've had a couple of Winchesters and a couple of the older Marlins. While it's true, you see more Marlins than Winshesters available, I've never considered them to be rare. Also, the 30/30 never really caught my fancy, even though it's taken more deer than any caliber. And honestly, I always wanted on in a pistol caliber lever action. On a side note, when I purchased the Rossi (16" or 20" barrel), I had the opportunity to also purchase a Henry (with a 20" barrel) or a Marlin (also 20" barrel) I chose the Rossi, over the Henry, due to the weight (about 2 lbs heavier) and the Henry loading from the tube and also because of the price (roughly $200 more). I wanted a loading gate. And I chose the Rossi over the Marlin, because I had heard nothing good about the new Marlins. It was also about $150 more. Went to the range about a month later with a friend and his son, who had bought a Marlin .357, 6 months prior. The little Rossi preformed very well, with both .38s and .357. The Marlin not so much. It had a lot of binding and feed issues, for all three of us. They planned to send it back to Marlin for corrective action. I have no idea, if they have or have not at this point.

I have Rossi Trapper in .357. I love that little gun! Either rifle you have with take anything in Tennessee, 30/30s used to be a dime a dozen, but lately they’ve gone up in value. Personally, I’d trade the 30/30 for a .44 mag revolver and never look back.

I'm sorry, man.

The hlack of heft is one of the things I didn't like about the Gerber Mark II that I had back in the 80's. It like I was holding a wooden stick, instead of a knife. I guess if you were a trained knife fighter, you might want that. But for a field knife, which was what I was trying to use it as, it was pretty useless. I sold it after a while and moved to KABAR. I thought the KABAR was a much better field/fighing knife, a jack of all trades.

New York Attorney General files suit to dissolve the NRA
Moped replied to MacGyver's topic in General Chat
Just read through that. We got FKedin the drive thru by Ole Wayne. I had heard it was bad, but never thought it would be that bad! Him and his cronies need to be sharing prison cells with a lot of Bubbas for a very long time. No Maxwell AF Base Country Club prison either! This is really bad! And it comes at a time when we don’t need this kind of attention! This also what happens when by-laws allow no term limits on the corporate officers. After so long, corruption sits in and this is what you get. The NRA definitely needs restructuring, a total overhaul. -
I always carry at least one reload and I’m never comfortable with less than 15 rounds total. So for my S&W 442, I have two speed strips in my right pocket, right along with my 442. That’s the only pistol, where I carry everything on one side. With my autos, there’s at least one mag in my left front pocket. I am transitioning to belt carry more and more, but drawing from my front pocket is still my favorite option. It really depends on the pistol though.

Not always. She bought my Rossi M92 .357 for my birthday and when I told her I was buying the Tisas Fatih .380, she didn’t bat an eye. But it’s best to not poke the bear too many times, so close together. Of course, I could go see Harvey and put one in lay-a-way...
