  1. I just might! Definitely going to have to get a shoulder holster for it! Just like Bond!
  2. Or is it Gerber Mk I? Pretty sure it is. The guard is the tip-off. The Guardian guard is not that big. The other two are clearly Mk IIs.
  3. I don't know that they will stabilize then. If Biden wins and follows through with his threat to make Beto the Gun Czar, prices are going to continue to rise. I feel we teetered over a precipice and there is no pulling back, that more gun control is coming and may be worse than the 68 gun control legislation. I do not see the Republicans stopping the coming Blue Wave. I'm very pessimistic that the Republicans can hold on to the Senate at this point. I feel the first order of business for the Democrats is to end the COVID nonsense. Followed very shortly by gun control legislation, to include a national registry, assault weapons ban, banning of hi-cap mags and a magazine round cap of 10 and so forth. I believe they will follow the Virginia plan to the tee, with exception that they will not back down one iota and they will ram it through quickly. In short, we are about to see all kinds of turmoil in the industry.
  4. Kinda glad I never bought one now.
  5. Congratulations!
  6. I’m guessing this too. We may be in the midst of the great gun panic of all time. 2 boxes of 50 rounds each of Aguila HV .22lr, cost me $18 yesterday. Standard velocity is $6+ a box of 50. Crossroad Guns had quite a bit of it too. I’m starting to shotgun ammunition becoming scarce, too.
  7. Probably not the best time to be buying a 9mm. They can’t keep the ammunition on the shelves. Right now a .40S&W might be a better choice. While not an abundant amount, I’m seeing more of that, than 9mm. I’ve never been impressed with Bud’s accessory inventory in Sevierville. They do have a fine selection of firearms though!
  8. They are having to compete with Harvey’s, so I’m not surprised that they went to a Long Lay-a-way plan. And I can honestly say Crossroad Guns is one of the best LGS in Knoxville. They have always been been super friendly and helpful. Even loaned me a bore sight system once. They stock lots of holsters too. May have the biggest selection in Knoxville. And they have a great selection of firearms! It’s nice having a LGS like them, just down the road!
  9. Me either! I had intended on getting another 1911a1, but this pistol was in excellent shape and at a great price, I just could not pass it up. And it’s an iconic piece to boot! This was part of a 40 gun collection, they bought from an individual. They originally had two PPK/s and they sold the other one earlier in the week.
  10. I might have made a huge mistake, boys. Could lead to a divorce. I stopped in my LGS (Crossroads Guns, in Fountain City), for some HV .22LR for my Stoeger Luger. I walked out with the .22 rounds and after putting a Walther PPK/s in lay-a-way. It’s a beaut, a Interarms Stainless steel pistol, with both mags, box, manuals cleaning rod... all for 5 bills plus tax and BCG. Lay-a-way for 12 months! Oh Lord, what have I done??? Looks like this!
  11. Congratulations!!!

    New Rifle

    Stubborn...
  13. With virtual learning, parents not being home is happening a lot, where both parents have to work to make ends meet.
  14. 60-61 RC?!?!? That would be a witch to sharpen! On the other hand, I'm sure it would hold an edge. I do wonder if it would be a bit brittle at that hardness. The other though about this is, these were designed for thrusting and the edge, might not be that important.
  15. Do you think I'm a spring chicken? This stuff was produced back in the 80s or 90s. I got three bricks of .22 shorts that were made in the 60's, maybe. The Olin is match grade stuff for rifles. And yes, I need some HV rounds. Now to find some...
  16. Oh, I agree and that's my plan. I was using Olin White Box Target, which I have several bricks of. FRom reading on the internet, these pistols like the hot stuff better. I think most semi auto pistols do.
  17. A single shot would be a cool little rifle to have too!
  18. I must admit that tend to yawn at the thought of lever actions chambered in 30-30, but I have always wanted a bolt action in 30-30, like the old Stevens 325. I’ve always thought that the 30-30 with a spitter type bullet would be a great round and a fairly mild shooter.
  19. Took it this afternoon and ran a couple of magazines through it. It’s very accurate! I could keep them in an inch at 7 yards. However, after the first 5 rounds, I started having issues with extraction. These are known to have tight chambers. The second mag was no better. In fact it got worse, with unshot rounds not chambering. I’m going to give it a good cleaning and oiling and look for some hotter rounds. I was using standard velocity rounds.
  20. We bought 4x4x8s back in May for $8. Bought one Saturday for $19 at Lowe’s. Talk about pissed off!!!
  21. The city of Miami can kiss it too! Morons!
  22. Joe Biden can kiss my ass! Unless I’m not social distancing, I will not wear a mask outside.
  23. No wonder people don’t trust the damn Government!
  24. Well damn! That’s just stupid!
  25. Went to an estate sale yesterday and picked up this Stoeger Luger .22, with an aluminum frame. I think it’s one of the best examples of one that I’ve seen. Really a bit surprised by the size and heft. It’s very close to the only Luger P08 that I’ve ever fired! Hopefully I’ll get to shot it tomorrow.
