Bumping for a great little gem of a pistol! These make great pocket pistols and have great triggers.
-
Most days, I carry a LCP Max in my backpack. I belt carry a Ruger Max 9 with a RDS or a S&W 442, the rest of the time.
-
These are great little pistols! I carried one for several years, until I bought my Max9. My son now has it. GLWS!

As long as the Government stays out our business, I think at least one of mine will want my small collection of shooters. @hipower, I am available for adoption, though I’m probably near your age.

What's the Chances of Tennessee Going Gunless?
Moped replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Very, very, very slim at this point. -
It wasn't enough!!! Jury Orders Ex-NRA Chief Wayne LaPierre to Pay More Than $4 Million Back to Gun-Rights Group (msn.com)

The U.S. military say 4 MOA is acceptable accuracy.

SDS is headquartered in West Knoxville.

The recall is for specific models and skews. You can see it here. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2024/02/01/safety-recall-tisas-1911-pistols/ Honestly, he’s probably right. But this puts money in CMP’s pockets. I’d bet more money, they probably need that money. No one here really believes the current administration in the White House and the Defense Department is a friend of the CMP. My guess is they’d love to see the CMP go away.

Interesting! Of course SDS is headquartered in Knoxville. I own one their U.S. Army 1911a1s. I found it to be every bit as reliable as the ones I shot in the Army and more accurate.

What kind of holster for working outside?
Moped replied to Darrell's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I wear bib overalls a lot on the weekends. I carry Ruger Max 9 with a CT1550 in a Sticky Holster OR-5 and that combo works great!!! Optics Ready 1 (OR-1) (stickyholsters.com) -
Somewhere in the $300 to $400 range I imagine. Less, if you go to trade in at a LGS, though. Edited: Found one on Guns America that was rated at 98% that sold for $328. No idea when that was though.

If you find rental, let me know. I’d like to try it. That Taurus 327 TORO looks good too. Just haven’t found one to look at.

Has anyone looked at the Charter Arms Professional in .32 H&R? It's a 7 shot revolver with a 3" barrel length. There's a lot of interested being generated right now, with a Lipsey's exclusive release of the S&W 432/632 in .32 H&R next month. That got me on hunt for an alternative and then I found the Charter Arms Professional at Bud's. Got several. A Remington 521T, Winchester 67, Ruger 1022 Backpacker and a Taurus TX22.

I had one for a number of years, until some asshole broke into my house and stole it, along with a Browning HP. It outshot every factory 1911 I put it up against. Notice I said factory, not custom. The only thing I did was change the grips out and add a two piece, full length guide rod. I still have the box, in the hopes that one day someone will pawn it or trade it in and it'll show up in a search and I will get it back. Back to the outshooting part, I put it up against a friend's SA with Novak sights. We each took turns shooting both pistols and the Norinco shot better for both of us. I did this with a Colt Series 70 and a Taurus 1911 with the same results with each of those pistols owners. For the $250 I paid for it, it was outstanding pistol!!! I'd love to have it back!

This is a step in the right direction, but based on the State Government’s track record of late, I think it gets bottled up and disappears. The Governor and the Executive Branch will oppose it vigorously. https://www.wvlt.tv/app/2024/01/24/bill-allow-people-with-certain-permits-carry-guns-businesses-that-prohibit-restrict-firearms/

That’s insane! What is “military grade” ammunition? Technically one could say “military caliber” ammunition would be “military grade”. And if you go back far enough, this would include calibers like .25acp (issued by the German Military pre WWII) and 45LC (issued to U.S. force during the Moro Rebellion in the Philippines). And rifles would be the same. Things like 30-06, 7mm Mauser, .338 Lapua, are all military calibers.
-
Can you find ammunition for these?

My advice comes from the perspective of a guy that carries everywhere, all the time. If you pick something that’s big or heavy, most likely, you are going to get to a point that you’ll quit carrying, because of the size or weight. The bigger the pistol, the more it tends to print and the more self conscious you’ll be. If it’s heavy and you don’t invest in the right belt and holster combo, then you are not going to want to carry, cause it will pull on your pants and you’ll be uncomfortable and go around tugging on them. Make sure that you’ll be comfortable carrying which ever pistol you pick.

I'm looking for owner opinions on this pistol. Is it as good as a Glock Gen 3 19? Or just opinions from owners of the PSA Dagger in general. PSA Dagger Compact 9mm RMR Pistol With Threaded Barrel, Sniper Green | Palmetto State Armory

Both are excellent pistols! Can't really go wrong with either. For me, I have medium sized hands, and I found the Safety on the CZ-75 hard to manipulate. But it was a supremely accurate pistol! I've never owned a SA35, but I have owned a Browning Hi-Power and it was the Goldilocks of single action autos for me! It fit just right!!! Sadly that pistol was stolen in a burglary (hope the bastard that stole it is burning in hell). I have handled the Girsan MC35 recently and it felt like an old friend. It's running about 2 or 300 hundred less that the SA35. But it is made in Turkey and some may not like that. Price wise, in the Knoxville area, you will generally spend about the same amount for either the CZ-75 or the SA35 (if you can find one).

I’m interested in getting an old rifle
Moped replied to 2agood's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Still a good thread for info, for the rest of us. I like the old stuff too, just don't see things that are that cheap anymore. I guess I'm still living in the 1990's though. -
