  1. I have on that fits my SF XDs .45ACP and I like it! It’s a good value.
  2. If it’s good STIFF nylon. These holsters are. They are a bit bulky, but for $4.99, it’s still a great deal. I’ve used all three that I bought and like them all. They do have a thumb break that takes a bit of getting used to.
  3. Lots of training…
  4. Occasionally!
  5. These morons have been spouting that nonsense for years. Every big city in the country experienced a rise in crime last year, due to COVID and the riots. Not every state with these big cities, has a guns in cars law. Is there not some way we can give Memphis back to the Indians?
  6. When Walmart has ammunition available, they are not inflating the price. I've been buying bulk .22LR and getting it for a decent price (325 rds for ($19 OtD), in the Knoxville area.
  7. I went back today and they have a lot more 9mm.
  8. I have the 7 shot Taurus 627 Tracker with a 4” ported barrel. It’s a cream puff to shoot with 158 gr JSP .357 rounds!
  9. Everyone should have a .357 mag in their collection! Congratulations on getting a great one!
  10. I love it Monkey!!! Congrats!!!
  11. Let's see it!
  12. Hey, I'd take that fugly thing off your hands, if you priced it where I could afford it. I'd much rather have this than a Ruger Mini 14. I'm serious!!!
  13. Well, at least they are giving the carbine purchasers first shot at them though. But I get your point.
  14. Agreed, but I suspect that this is is going to be the norm for a while. And may be the norm from now on. Who knows. I don't blame you, but you might want to just hang on to it too.

    Taurus G3C

I believe it is. I’ve had two G2s and both have run flawlessly. I like them!
  16. If you don't want to buy an overpriced house or land, Tennessee might not be for you, honestly. Everything is high as a cats back, no matter where you are. Even in the hinterlands of Scott, Fentress and Pickett Counties, prices are high, as lot of outside folk are buying up land for vacation homes and retreats. And there is nothing to rent either. I've never seen anything like it in my 59 years. Now is just not the time to buy a home here. Even modular homes are backlogged by several months.
  17. I was at Point Blank in Knoxville on Tuesday and they had a bunch of Turkish 124 gr 9mm FMJ on the shelves for $34.99 in case anyone wants to pay that. They also had large boxes of 40 S&W FMJ and some 10mm as well. They were also well stocked with Turkish 5.56x45mm for 21.99 a box. All of it was a bit rich for my taste, so I left it on the shelf. But others might not balk at the price.
  18. I don't think it's because they are basically poor shots, but how they train. I talked to retiring officer back when I was getting my HCP. We had just been through the range with his job the weekend before and I honestly had a much smaller group than he did. And he had just come off the range the previous weekend, where he had personally burned up about a 1000 rounds through his issue Glock (his words). He told me that they are trained to point shoot rather than aim and fire multiple rounds. They basically train to draw and have rounds down range as fast as possible and did not worry about grouping. He even said they trained to aim low, in order to hit under any armored vests and hoping for arterial hits, for bleed outs.
  19. Hey now! I met my wife in Daytona! Of course, we ar both from Knoxville.
  20. Field Grade Garands are still available from CMP for $650. That doubles (at least) when you see them for sale out in public though. https://thecmp.org/sales-and-service/m1-garand/
  21. I've thought about buying a LCR 3" .357 to hike with, due to the lighter weight. The LCR with a 3" barrel is 23oz and my Taurus Tracker with the 4" ported barrel (really a 3", with the ports) is 35 oz. But I do get 2 more shots, so the weight vs rounds is sort of a trade off. Just can't decide if 12 oz is worth 2 more rounds. One thing I did do to mitigate the weight is go to a recon pouch to carry it in, along with my First Aid kit. However, I feel it screams "GUN!" something I'm not comfortable really advertising, especially hiking. I did add a Red Cross symbol to the pouch. I use this one. My Tracker fits well in it, along with my First Aid Kit and two 7 round speed loaders. https://www.ebay.com/itm/353062586997?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-213727-13078-0&mkcid=2&itemid=353062586997&targetid=4581183927179145&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=418233787&mkgroupid=1241348861725295&rlsatarget=pla-4581183927179145&abcId=9300542&merchantid=51291&msclkid=6a6ac33b2d4b1141c74da3fad642945b
  22. So glad I didn't buy into that particular craze. I almost did a couple of years ago, but felt like something like this would come along.
