  1. That's not too over priced at all. If I was lucky enough to own a M1 carbine, I'd be snapping that up right now! Over all, prices are coming down, though.
  2. It's actually called a recon pouch. My bad. As old age creeps in, the brain power flags at times. This is the one I bought and use. I also carry a first aid kit in it along with two speed loaders. Amazon.com : WYNEX Recon Kit Bag, Tactical Combat Chest Pack Molle Vest Bags Front Pouch Camouflage Airsoft Harness Holster Multi-Purpose Daypack Concealed EDC Carry Pouch with Basketball Pattern Hook and Loop Pan : Clothing My understanding is the Rangers at Tennessee State Parks are using a version of this, in the back country, as well, made by Hill People Gear. I had a off duty ranger from Cummins Falls tell me that.
  3. I have different guns for different places. I'm working from home right now and have on a 1911 in an old Jackass shoulder holster. There is an FNH FNS beside my bed and I have a vest that I wear that has a S&W 442 in it that I throw on, when I do to the store. And yesterday, I carried a Ruger LC9S Pro, which actually is my normal carry pistol. And I hike with a Taurus .357 Tracker with a 4 inch barrel in a Recon Pouch on my chest. I'm one of those that has different pistols for different things. I'm odd. but I'm comfortable with either a revolver or a semi-auto. Doesn't matter which.
  4. How far away was this?
  5. What are you doing to it, besides the adding the CTS-1550?
  6. I like it, but couldn't you find a bigger flashlight??? Seriously, I nice job!!! I miss my Hi-Power.
  7. Honda CB360 brings up images of the movie Billy Jack!
  8. LMAO!!! That's funny right here!!! Cause you know dang good and well that they aren't going to reduce taxes, like ever!!!
  9. Thanks for the heads up! I meant to post about that last week, but forgot. As I recall the Winchester was 55 grain and the 5.56 was 62 grain. They also had some Norma 308 175 grain Sierra Match King HP target rounds. box of 20 for $35.

    Taurus G3C

I’ve got my eye on one of these with the CT red dot already mounted. I also have the .45 ACP XDs and love it!
  11. I’ve been eying the G3 optic ready. Looks like a nice pistol. I have a G2 that I really like. However, I’ve also been looking at the XDs with a Crimson Trace optic, for $483 https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/130709/sprgfld+xds+mod2+osp+wct+33+9mm
  12. I never open carry, so that wouldn't bother me a bit.
  13. Honestly, nothing that goes on in California, remotely interests me anymore. I saw what the San Jose Mayor proposed the other day and immediately thought that it would never survive the first court appearance. IMO, the counties that want to leave California and form their own state, should be allowed to, along with counties in Oregon and Washington. Then California should be encouraged to form it's own country. Maybe take Hawaii and and the other parts of Oregon and Washington with it. But no one cares what I think.
  14. Not sure how many of you read on a Kindle, but Kindle Unlimited, has a bunch of these books!
  15. The image the mind conjurs, boogles...
  16. That's just freaking incredible! I understand that the man has a mental disorder. But I really, really fail to understand how anyone could decide that the man was incapable of being premeditated based on the evidence the police presented. Where the heck was common sense used in this case??? This man has clearly not shown that he is "cured". And he is going to be a mence to you, when he gets out. I'm truly sorry for your predicament. You and those around you, will need to be armed, clearly at all times, when he gets out. That's very sad that you have to be in fear of your life, from the likes of him. (I cleaned this up. "Freaking" was not what I wanted to say, but we do have standards here.)
  17. With us seeing companies being help hostage by cyberterrorists this year, I'm glad to see this happening! I think we need more of these units!!! The takeover of Colonial Pipeline could have been much worse than it was, back in May!!! https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/41243/the-national-guard-just-simulated-a-cyberattack-that-brought-down-utilities-nationwide
  18. I carry a S&W 442 quite often. And my Taurus 627 Tracker accompanies me on every hike now, as last ditch bear and two legged predator protection.
  19. How was he not convicted of First Degree Murder, to begin with? Should be in prison for the rest of his life. But I agree, these letters, by themselves are threat enough, to warrant any time off for good behavior. TDOC needs to step up and do their job. This guy should serve the rest of his sentence...
  20. My neighbors down the street have these lights as their front door lights... two neighbors, actually. Been thinking about keeping up with the Jones. Kinda cool, actually.
  21. You live in Tennessee. Lots of houses have unrepairable washers on the front porch... Dime a dozen!!!
  22. Great job!!! I like it!!!
  23. I’m not a fan of the GP100 or the S&W 686. I much prefer he K-frame series of revolvers among the S&W and the Ruger Security and Service 6 series. They seemed to be just the perfect size for a do it all revolver. My Taurus 627 Tracker is basically the same size as those mentioned above, with the added feature of a 7 round chamber. The ported 4” barrel, makes it a pleasure to shoot, too. As to, it’s durability, we shall see. But I like it a lot!
