Sure you do! You can never have to many pistols!!!
-
Really nice revolver. The only negative in my eyes is the SP is bit on the heavy side for it's size. You'll definitely want a holster. Good shooters though! You'll like it!
-
Or if possible add a drain field.
-
Buy a new one of course! One can never have too many firearms!!!

I've had a couple I got rid off and it didn't bother me. I've had two Mini-14s and I tried to like them both. I REALLY tried! But in the end they both went and have never regretted either one. I doubt I buy another. I had a Norinco 1011a1 (great pistol BTW) and a Browning Hi-Power that are no longer mine, but that was not my choice, but rather the POS that broke into my house several years back and made off with my locked pistol security cabinet. I hope he hurt himself openning it! I'm hankering for a Hi-point 9 or a .45 pistol. I looked at a couple in Clinton today, but they wanted $189 and $199 for them. I thought that a bit high. They also had a Ruger LCR for $659. I thought that outragous!

I wish I had read this earlier today. Work internet nanny doesn't let me play here, because it's an "Evil Weapons" site. I was at a Pawn Shop in Clinton and picked up two 10 round mags. We'll see how these work. I now have a total of four 10 rounders (one is great, the original jams every time, 2 have yet to be tested) and 2 15 rounders, one which works well and the other only spotty. I need to work on them though. They are not usable with my new ATI stock. The rifle itself is pretty accurate. At a 100 yards I was getting 2-3 inch groups with a 4 power scope. It's not a sniper rifle, but I was happy!

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I have read that several places. I've also heard very good things about their Pre-ban AK's and MAK90s. At one time I had a Norinco SKS. Stupidly, I sold it(seems to be a trend for me). Now I wish I had kepted it. It was a good shooter.

I read this article sometime back and it gave me some ideas. Check it out and see if it helps. http://www.fieldandstream.com/photos/gallery/survival/food/2006/08/make-survival-kit-out-altoids-tin-and-two-more-life-saving-diy-?photo=1 Actually, this is page two. Go here and then back up one picture. For some reason I couldn't get that link to copy fully to here.

That's a good point about the stripper clips. I wish I still had a SKS. I may have to search for another one soon. BTW, the Norinco was made in China and imported into California. I don't think they allow them to be imported anymore though. It has the reputation of being the best made SKS. Good rifle and a great deal!

Even I'm getting the Hi-point Pistol bug. I've been peeking around for one to trade for. I love my little carbine. Just wish I had some more good mags for it. That seems to be the big weakness with them.

Barger and Son's sells and installs something like this. They used to advertise on the radio her in Knoxville. I think they are out of Greenville. You might check them out.

kwe45919, that makes sense. I'd never heard that before! Thanks for learning me!

SKS almost always feed better with the standard fixed magazine. I don't know that I would ever try to use anything else. It's just a waste of money. BTW, I think you got a great deal!!

Oak Ridge to consider banning guns in parks
Moped replied to analog_kidd's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You all need to vote them out come the next election. And you need to make sure they KNOW WHY they got voted out of office. Oak Ridge has some pretty dangerous parts. Not being from there, I wouldn't know a safe area from an unsafe area. Of course, right now Fountain City, where I live, it's getting bad. We've had about 6 or 7 bank robberies just in this area, in the last three weeks. There were two today. One on Essary Rd (I think it was Region and if so the second time it's been hit in two weeks) and the Home Federal at East Town Mall were hit this morning. -
I have a CS Norsehawk in my trunk for my Truck Monkey to use along with a CS Kopis Machete. Both are part of my BOE. I considered the Vietnam Tomahawk, but I wanted something a little longer. If I had it to do over again, I would have to go with the Rifleman's Hawk from CS. It's about over 10oz. heavier and has a hammer opposite the blade, making it much more utilitarian. They say it still throws well and that whatever you hit with it, is going to feel the effects. Rifleman's Hawk : Tomahawk (American Tomahawk Company) I have the machete, because I've found a machete to be the most useful of tools. When I worked as a Surveyor, I cut thousands of feet of line with a machete. I've even used it to cut 8" locust trees, down. A locust tree will wear just about anything out, they are so hard. But a good machete will do the job. I selected a CS machete, because they use carbon steel instead of stainless steel, like most makers. I think carbon steel holds an edge longer and sharpens easier than stainless. I picked the Kopis because it has a WICKED POINT! It's close to being a single edged short sword. Sadly CS has dropped them from their line up. Cold Steel Knives: Cold Steel Kopis Machete, 18 Inch Blade, CS-97KP18S The other tool I'm currently looking at for my Trunk Monkey to use is a USGI Tri-folding Shovel. They are light and incredibly handy. You can use them for a shovel, a hoe, an axe or mace for defensive purposes. They can be had for around $30 with a cover. Entrenching Tool One more tool I think makes a lot of sense is the Bushman's Blade from CS (Jeez I sound like a CS salesman, but I really just like their products, I think they are a good value). It's a real basic knife with a hollow handle that you can tie onto the end of a four to six foot long stick to make a spear. Cost is in the neighborhood of $30. Bushman Series : Fixed Blade (Cold Steel Knives) I like tools that have multiple functions. I think they make sense in a SHTF situation.

I've always wondered if 40 Round Mags were really good to use. I know that sounds like a stupid question, but really, can you assume a good prone position with a 40 round mag locked in? I'd bet the bottom of the mag is on the ground and acting like a mono-pod.

A Luger, followed by a Ruger MkII (almost the same grip as the Luger), then a Browning Hi-power and a Colt 1911a1.

Actually, I've never know Giada to never NOT show massive amounts of cleavage! I think she's quite proud of them and she should be! BTW, what were we originally discussing here and who got us off topic?

I believe she's a natural! Her husband must be a very happy man!

I understand where Marine3 is coming from. I wouldn't feel underarmed by sending a cloud of No. 6 down the hallway of my house. I've seen the damage it will do to dogs 10 yards out and it's not pretty. Seems like at that range, there's just not a large pattern. It's pretty concentrated in say 2-4 inches of spread depending on the choke. One round has always been sufficent to take a large dog down instantly from "hallway" range (in my house the hallway is 20 ft). The other advantage is that the kick is so much less, which makes follow up shots much quicker, especially for an undertrained woman or child.

WOW! What a find! Those are sharp!!! What might I get into one of the blues for?
-
Hey Mike, those high dollar Mosins are Finnish and are reported to shoot far better than the Soviet models. I wish I had the money for something like that.

The best advice is to get in good with a couple of buddies that can go out with you. Read lots of articles and try different stuff out. I pretty much quit deer hunting when we started having kids. It's a push just to get to the range anymore. If I were you, I'd post over in the hunting section.
