  1. Apparently shoot and killed two men at different locations and wounded a third woman critically. He bragged on FB Live at point, he’d shot 5 people. Someone watching the live feed, said he was using a Glock with an extended magazine.
  2. Memphis PD put out a city wide warning for some nut driving around shooting at people and broadcasting it on FB Live! https://www.foxnews.com/us/memphis-police-seeking-suspect-string-shootings-recorded-facebook
  3. Amen. I feel it’s much better to be in a group or community, if possible. Individuals or even small families are going to rip for being overran. These Tech Oligarchs should be worried about their hired guns. They’ll have no loyalty if the balloon goes up, except possibly to each other.
  4. I hate you guys! Y'all are bad for my wallet!!! I found a 9mm takedown model (not a Backpacker) on Gun Broker, that just happened to be local. So I went lunch and looked at it. It's used and doesn't have the Glock Mag adapter ($32 from Ruger), but it's in great condition. So it's now in layaway. Also comes with a sling. Here it is. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/945713131
  5. Looks like we might have had a copycat here in Knoxville. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/concern-grows-after-attempted-kidnapping-rape-in-downtown-knoxville/ar-AA11xUfz?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=10e8c393e8b74beaaabde91468c83265 I have a great friend that actually rode a bus to the UT ball game with this guy last week. She said he was acting weird and wanted to know if the guy that was with her was her boyfriend. She told him it was her husband. He mentioned he was homeless and was wondering where to get a meal, clothes, socks and underwear. She also said he was carrying something made of wood and metal and that the object and him, made her feel uncomfortable.
  6. I think your right and I think they know it. Obviously they are concerned.
  7. Interesting Read! https://www.theguardian.com/news/2022/sep/04/super-rich-prepper-bunkers-apocalypse-survival-richest-rushkoff
  8. I know nothing about drug addiction or nannies in regard to this case, but she is the granddaughter of the man that founded Orgill Inc., a Memphis based hardware company and stands to inherit a very large amount of money.
  9. I wouldn't mind having one of these with the Magpul Backpacker Stock! I have the 10/22 with the Backpacker Stock and it's a gem!!! I've been wanting another 9mm Carbine and this is probably the ticket!
  10. I certainly hope they improved the trigger! Had a Gen 1 M&P in .45ACP and hated that pistol for the crappy trigger that came on it. Also didn't like the grip. Felt like a oversized round broom handle in my hand. Traded it away for a .45ACP SA XDs. I was instantly much happier. I suppose I should give the GEN 2 M&P another try, though. It sounds like they learned from their past mistakes.
  11. That looks brand new!
  12. Praying for her safe return and for her family! You just can't be too cautious anymore!!! Always be aware of your surroundings and women and children shouldn't be alone if they can help it. Such is the state of our country. Things are just getting worse and worse.
  13. Mack Bolan would disagree! He knocked off a lot of Mafia and Terrorists with his 44 Auto Mag!!! I used to read these books religiously when I was in middle school and high school! Mack Bolan - Wikipedia
  14. Which is a cryin' shame! I also have a Tisas copy of the Beretta 84 and love it. Good shooting .380! Just wish I could find some nice looking wooden grips for it. The bottom grip screw is just a quarter inch different than the latest model of the Beretta 84, which I believe is the F.
  15. You're killing me with this one!!! I have the itch for a .32 right now.
  16. Never owned a P90, but I had the P89 in 9mm and that thing was a tank and would eat any 9mm parabellum made on the planet! I can't imagine that the P90 is any different! GLWS!
  17. OMG, it's back!!! Well, to add my two cents in (again), I finally broke down and bought the Tisas 1911a1 U.S. Army and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! It's not an exact replica of the pistol I carried in Desert Storm, but it's close enough for government work and nostalgia for me! There are some minor differences like the hammer and the ejection port not being cut exactly the same way. Not going to say it a tack driver, because like my old service pistol (which was rebuilt prior to leaving Ft. Bragg for Saudi Arabia), it's not. The service grade 1911s were known for minute of man and that what this is. Fit and function are the same. I'm sure I could spend a lot of money and add a bunch of parts and have some machining done and make it into a much more accurate pistol, but that wasn't what I wanted for. And if it had been, I'd have just bought a more expensive and tricked out version. I still think that we should look at taking TISAS out of the title. While Tanker's 1911, might have been a stinker, I'm really not sure that is apropos to the brand or to their 1911s anymore. I can think of another brand 1911 that is still around, that costs twice as much as the TISAS, that was a much worse version of the 1911 and it was and still is made here in the good ole USA. It now has a much better reputation, though you'd have a hard time getting me to ever fork over any money to buy one, and that's the Auto Ordnance. But much like Tanker's experience, that's mine from 30 years ago and everyone else's experience with the brand might be different, especially now.
  18. I don't think all Glock clones are more expensive than Glocks. Shadow Systems seems to a minority in that regard. And honestly, I'm really not sure why either. Can't believe it is any better than a Glock, to be honest, but I have not shot one either. Stoeger makes the STR9 and 9C and Palmetto State Armory makes the Dagger. Neither is an exact clone, but I think you can use Dagger slides on Glock frames (but I may be mistaken). The STR9 and the Dagger are significantly cheaper than their Glock Big Cousins. The Dagger has a lot of interesting options, with cutaway slides and RDS plates, as well as different rear sight locations. It seems like PSA has put a ton of thought into the Dagger. I think we'll be seeing more and more of these on the market, as more people learn about them!
  19. Great deal! if you weren't on the other end of the state, I'd own me my first 40! GLWS!!!
  20. I have an old Gerber LST. That is the hardest knife I own to sharpen and hold an edge. I think the steel was a bit soft on mine. But it is light in the pocket, and it does lock.
  21. Like all match rifles, ammo sensitivity is an issue. Pretty much everyone I know that shoots matchs with any rifle, reloads for that specific rifle. I think if you want your AR's to shoot better than 2 to 3" at 100 yards, that's the path you need to choose. For my needs, 2 to 3 inches at 100 yards is fine. I shot my last match almost 25 years ago.
  22. I have both in my rotation and I don't notice the difference. I also have revolvers and semi-autos in my rotation.
  23. I have a Ruger MAx 9 with a CT RDS, in layaway at Harvey's. It's going to be my first on a pistol. Could you get a Dagger slide already cut from PSA and use that? They seem to be a cheaper option.
  24. Thanks for the write up on this. My dad, is not a gun person, but he wants a .22 LR revolver and I think this would be a good one for him.
