  1. I drink it for the taste (black). I usally drink one regular cup in the morning and then decaf the rest of the day. I will also have a cup of tea in the morning as well.
  2. From all I have heard from friends that own them, the Heritage Rough Riders are decent pistols. The only negatives I've heard is about the superflous safety and the finish, which isn't always the best. But then again, for $200, I ain't expecting to be getting a Ruger Single Six. But they do go bang every time with decent accuracy. Maybe Taurus is trying to learn a thing or two from them and that's why they bought them.
  3. I've had chicory coffee and it's not really a taste I care for. Personally, if I couldn't drink real coffee, I'd rather drink tea. Now if I couldn't get real coffee or tea then chicory, more than likely would be my third choice. Coffee in tins would be another post apocalyptic barter item, that would be good to have around, along with silver, liquor, cigarettes, aspirin and bolts of cotton and wool cloth.
  4. they are loads of fun!!! But go with a steel frame if you can afford one. I've been interested in a conversion cylinder for my Remington 58. Just can't afford one.
  5. I don't think many will get shot down. If they were that easy to hit, seems to me that more of them would have been shot down over Yemen, Iraq, Afhganistan and Pakistan. Why does a local police department need with drones? The Border Patrol I could understand, but Nashville? Sounds to me like a waste of Taxpayers money.
  6. I have nothing against the agents. Just don't like their agency or that agency's stupid policies. I saw where one of the former directors said they need to lighten up. That banning small scissors, nail clippers and pocket knives was stupid and wasn't really protecting anyone. He felt that if terrorists ever tried to take a plane over again, that the passengers would chose to fight rather than be sheeple. I think he's right.
  7. There are probably 20 or 30 on Ebay at any given time. Some are junk and some are brand new. Then there are some with just stupid prices. Several have buy it now prices of over $60. One is at $122. Obviously those are selling very well. The brand new ones are selling for $39.95. I'm trying to work a deal on a new one now from another source.
  8. Wondering how many of you have had or have one of these. It ain't real tactical, but it's a keeper. Can't believe I never bought one when I was in the service! 1979 Camillus U.S. Military Utility Knife (AKA The Demo Knife) I got this one off EBAY for $23.50, shipped. It's obviously used, but still in great condition, with good snap to the blades, for a 33 year old pocket knife and sharpened right up, when I broke out the stones. Needs a bit more cleaning, which I will do this weekend. I think this one will be in my EDC rotation along with the Opinel No.9 and the Svord Peasant. I carry the Kershaw Clash everyday as well.
  9. I would like to take the time to thank all of you that volunteered to take up our cause in Nashville! You all invested a lot of time and effort, and while it didn't pay off this year, the ground work as been set for next year. I think a sleeping giant has been awakened. Now let's not let him go back to sleep!
  10. You'd be hard pressed to find a better pistol and a older Ruger MkII or a new MKIII. They are virtually bomb proof and will last forever. They are very accurate as well and there are all kinds of upgradable parts available for them. They come in blue or stainless, with regular barrels or bull barrels, fixed or adjustable sights and lengths from 4" to something like 8". The grip is nice for small hands and it's comfortable. Great pistol to learn on, imo. I've taught my son and one of my daughters to shoot with them.
  11. I've already stated that I will remember what Mr. Dunn did NOT DO FOR US come election time. Sadly, he had no one run against him in the 2010 election. Best as I can tell, that's the case again. But when he does, I will remember and I will vote for the other person, even if it's Satan. Too bad I can't vote in this Maggart race. I'd vote for the other fella and hopefully help send her packing.
  12. Both of those are sweet! I love the Sodbuster style and you can't go wrong with that Mini Muk! What are the specs on each?
  13. Definitely worth the fight!!! Very nice looking pair you got there!!!
  14. Good for them! Our lawmakers need to take a lesson!
  15. Neither are the Repuglicans, apparently! Talk about sheep's clothing, what about the Repuglican leadership! A pox on all of them!!! Mr. Dunn will not be receiving my vote for the very first time. And next time Haslem will not receive it either. I'm sure that will break both their hearts. Obviously Haslem has been in bed, not only with Alexander, but they both had a threesome with Bloomberg.
  16. George Norry is alright. I usually enjoy his shows. Alex Jones is a nut job and Infowars is a website for those with more than one screw loose.
  17. No response from Dunn as of 15 minutes ago. I can tell you this, Dunn will not get my vote. I'm tried of being played by the Republicans. I've been dis-satisfied for a while now with what all they have been doing. I think now it's time for them to get a wake up call.
  18. Here is what I sent Mr. Dunn, my State Representative. Mr. Dunn, It has come to my attention that the House Republican Caucus voted this evening, not to bring H.B. 3560 to a vote this year. As a citizen of Tennessee and a voter in your District, I would like to know how you voted on this matter. In the Subject line, it read "Republican Failure to Bring H.B. 3560 to the Floor for a Vote" Can't wait to see his reply.
  19. Furry little four legged creature found in the woods. AKA ground squirrel and Boomer. The most famous Chipmunks are Chip and Dale from Disney fame and Alvin, Theodore and Simon. They sing. Might even make it big in Nashvegas one of these days! And it's also Dolomite's bolt action rifle, wants to be a pistol thingy. Congrats on the purchase Dolomite.
  20. One other thing about the Altoids Tin sized PSK, is you can fit it into one of those clip-on cellphone holsters. Makes a nice easy way to carry it around if your wearing something that doesn't have big pockets.
  21. If you do a google on Personal Survival Kits, you will find oodles of info. You don't really need a ziplock bag for this. Most people make them out of Altoids Tins. You would be surprised at what you all you can stuff in one of those tins. Definitely enough to get you through the night in an emergency situation. Here is an excellent link to check out. http://www.equipped.com/drperskit.htm
  22. Hi-Points are fun rifles! They are just a pain in the posterior to breakdown and clean. I said this once before and I think OS made the observation that no one cares about cleaning them. Guess that's true. Just stick to Hi-Point Mags. Anything else is crap.
  23. I don't plan on ever owning another VW after this, nor will I use FEDEX ever again for delivery.
  24. Get a Mosin Nagant. The ammo is still pretty cheap and easily found. You can even hunt with it, with the right ammunition.
