  1. Thank you, but respect your elders!
  2. I wasn't expecting that much cosmoline on it. Aren't these commercially made pistols? Varsol is your friend!!! Can't wait till you get it cleaned up. I want to see how it shoots.
  3. Actually Canada and Great Britain tried to shoot one down with 20mm cannon fire and both failed to bring down the same balloon. Read that the other day. I would link it, but I can't remember where I read it. The mind is the first thing that goes, when you get old.
  4. Did you ever get this cleaned up?

Congratulations on the getting the Equalizer! This is what the original 9mm Shield EZ should have been, I completed discounted the Shield EZ, due to compacity. I don't mind single stack mags at all, but not in a larger semi-auto and the EZ is not a small pistol.
  6. Those are the lowest I've seen!
  7. Bravo for the Federal Judicial system!!! This is the right ruling. I hope it is appealed to SCOTUS, who rules the same way. I've felt for a very long time, that marijuana should be treated just like alcohol and be made legal and then regulated just the same. Of course, our fearless leaders in DC, will fight like the devil to not see this happen, because it means money for law enforcement agencies across the country. This would affect the lifestyle of 10s of thousands of bureaucrats everywhere. And money is power in Washington. Now if we could just get the judiciary to declare the Federal and State income tax system illegal!!!
  8. We shot it down, off the coast of South Carolina.
  9. Just about anything in .32 caliber is getting hard to find. I'd love to have a revolver chambered in .327 Fed, which can also shoot .32 H&R, .32 S&W long and short rounds. But good luck finding one, anywhere!!! Ruger and Taurus still list them in their catalogue, but they aren't new out on the street apparently. As for the Ruger Single Six in. 32 H&R, apparently, it's a reloaders dream and a fantastic woods gun. Very capable of putting meat in the pot, while roughing it. I've not seen a Single Six under $500 anywhere and most are north of that by a $100 to $200. I see .32 long on the shelves often at several places around Knoxville, but not .327 or .32 H&R.
  10. At least with Prohibition, We The People got to vote on it. It was approved by voters in 36 states, before Congress enacted the 18th Amendment. This crap is just a bureaucratic power grab, by the ATF. And driven by the greedy powers that be in DC, that are scared of We The People.
  11. Make me a third, behind Mac and Wheelie.
  12. I’m old school. Give me a good .308. It can take anything on the State. To me, it’s the perfect all around caliber.

Welcome to TGO! Things should be settled with the appeal. Truly sorry for the embarrassment to! Don't hesitate to ask questions here or for some advice. As you have already read, there's plenty of that here.
  15. Quite honestly, I hope most brace owners decide to ignore the "free SBR Licensing scheme", being foisted on them and tell the ATF to go f#$& themselves. If this brace ruling is allowed to stand, I think it will just a matter of time, before pistols with magazines forward of the trigger, will be placed under the NFA, just like they did the Street Sweeper back in the Clinton era. We either win the ensuing lawsuit against this rule in the Supreme Court, or we see a further eroding of our 2A rights. But if you want to SBR your pistol, go right ahead. Me, I'd just take the damn thing off and put in the closet, for a time when it may be needed.
  16. I have no preference. It's just funny how this thread seems to roll around every three months or so. It's been going on and on and on since Nov. 11th, 2013. And honestly, most of the opinions about this pistol are not in line with the OP's. Mine certainly are not! BTW, for those that don't know the original poster, TankerHC, was kicked off this forum not very long after he started this thread.
  17. BTW, if you Google Tisas 1911a1, this thread comes up first.
  18. Oh look, it’s back again! The thread that never stops! That’s a great price on a basic 1911! I have the Tisas U.S. Army 1911a1 and it a very reliable pistol. And as JMB intended, it’s combat accurate. I bought it because it was the closest model for sell, that was like the one I carried in the Army. But instead of “character lines” it looks brand new.
  19. I'm not surprised! Those were some fair prices.
  20. I think it has it's place, but not in my arsenal. For one, I have never liked this types of revolvers. And for another, not at the MSRP of $949. My dad on the other hand has been interested in one of these since he saw one. He's not a gun person, but he had a .410 shotgun and so it resonates with him.
  21. Isn't basically a scaled Tok? Sorta looks like one. Personally like the little .32ACP caliber. It's very pleasant to shoot. Still looking for a nice Beretta Cheetah in .32acp.
  22. Unique and at a great price! Some one got a steal!!!
  23. Would have posted this in the open,. but was thinking there was a rule against naming other sites here. Thanks David!!!
  24. Does the 30-30 come with the scope shown? if so, what is it?
