  1. Dave, sorry about that.  I went back and edited that out.  I had no intention of damning all hunters.  Just the small minority that keep making comments like I described. Thank you for pointing it out!
  2. Yes, that is exactly what I meant.  Folks, I've been seeing quite a few posts like this.  There was at least one in the Knoxville News Sentinel, today!  The other side wants to divide us on the 2A.  That's why Biden met last week with hunters and sportsman groups separate from the NRA other National Firearms Organizations.  That's why you keep seeing the Administration, Diane Feinswine and her ilk keep saying they are not against hunters and hunting nor are they interested in banning hunting weapons. They are trying to divide us and when a hunter pipes up says stuff like "You don't need an AR15 to hunt deer", it damages our cause!  And it makes me see RED!!!  I'm not condemning all hunters.  I hunt myself, but I also target shoot and I have firearms to defend my family and I.  I just want the ones that say stuff like this to quit doing it.  Seriously, if they are able to implement an AWB, then scopes, multi-shot pumps and bolt actions are next folks.  Feinswine wants them all gone!  I heard her say in 1995 on 60 Minutes!  She said it and she meant it!
  3. We should not let up!  Keep writing, calling and voting!  Just because it appears the danger may be past, doesn't mean it can't come up again.  No matter how innocent the other side makes it look, always suspect every one of their ideas, because they are not going to be good for us. If they can't get us with one big bill, then they will come at us with a lot of small bills and try and get the get the same affect, if they can.  We must continue to keep the pressure on our Representatives in Washington and in our State Capitals.  Every time we lose a fight and some seemingly small change happens, that erodes the 2A; we need to make sure that the politicians that were responsible for that law passing, get sent home and some one that is 2A friendly, replaces them.  Keep your on on the target, boys and girls!  This is far from over!!!
  4. Maybe we need to start forming militias again.  You know where we all show up on Saturday mornings and parade around and march and train.  Not the white supremacy  or Nazi party stuff.  More like what our founding fathers used to do, back in 1776.  Could you imagine every county seat having a militia company marching around the square or around the courthouse on a given Saturday.  That would be a true militia then! What would be even better is if the county and the state actually started using them for emergency purposes.
  5. You know, I don't get real upset when I hear a liberal say "You don't need an AR or AK to hunt <animal of choice>."  Figure that just goes with being a Liberal and fairly ignorant and mostly stupid.  The ones that piss me off and I mean REALLY PISS ME OFF, are the small minority of hunters that post that garbage online or stand up in front of a microphone and spout that nonsense!!!  They are so moronic that they think nothing will happen to their firearms.  They think they will never be next, which I think is a bunch of hogwash!  They tried back in the 1960's to have rifle scopes declared illegal after after that nutcase shot all those people down in Texas with a hunting rifle.  And the Libs are always going after the hunting rounds because of lead.  These people better wake up!  Cause they are next!!!
  6. Done!  I wish all the firearms manufacturers would do this!!!
  7. 300 is a lot of firearms for a collector over 3 years.  Seems like a no brainer to me.
  8. I vote Ruger.  I own a Ruger MkII 4" Bull barrel target pistol that is a pleasure to shoot!  Yes they are hard to breakdown the first couple of times, but once you get used to it, it's no hard to take apart than anything else.  I would watch a couple of Youtube vids.  They help a lot!!!  The old High Standards are quality pistols as well as are the Colt Woodsman.  And you can't beat a Ruger Single Six (single action revolver) for pure fun.  Even the Heritage Arms Single Actions are great fun to shoot.  Not the best made, but they are only half the price of a Single Six, as well.  I also like the Berreta 21A, though I think it's a little too thick in the grip for proper pocket carry.

    Noob question

Ask away and we will learn you! :)
  10. No one knows what will be passed yet or even what will be proposed.  Before you start looking for 10 round mags, I'd wait to see what Washington does.  No need to panic yet.  This is far from being a done deal.  And the longer it all drags on the harder it will be to pass anything.   In the meantime, if you want to do something about magazines, I suggest you put your ammunition, firearms and magazines down and call, write and email your representatives on the national and state level and express your opinion about gun control.  IF your representatives are having public meetings in your area, go to those meetings and express your views in a civil and diplomatic way.  Put  the best face you can on our cause.
  11. Excellent job Mr. Boston!!!  The man spoke will and with great common sense!
  12. Pretty impressive!  I'd want one in .45.  I was also reminded of the Old Feather Industries Carbines.  This could be a great seller.  Too bad it's come out when it did.
  13. I don't think the folks who fantasize about a second revolution understand that, and probably wouldn't until it was unfolding before them.   Yes they did.  Man has always romanticized war and I doubt we will ever stop romanticizing war.   It's human nature to..  That being said I agree with just about everything else you said.  I just hope the time never comes where we will all be forced to choice.  It will be a sad day indeed.
  14. Actually, I think hammers are smarter, than Campfield.
  15. Why is everyone buy up .22 for?
  16.     I think both are excellent ideas!!!
  17. If you take Chicago out of the picture, I bet Illinois is about as conservative as Tennessee. We still have Memphis, but the Democratic Machine there doesn't have a strangle hold on our state like the Democratic Machine in Chicago has on Illinois... and I'm perfectly fine with that!!!  I wish the citizens of Illinois didn't have to put up with such a beast either!
  18. So 840 rounds on strippers for $1000... How is that a good deal at a $1.20 per round?
  19. Actually, I do see a split in the Republican Party, but not North-South, Northeast - Rest of the US. To my mind it's increasingly evident that NE Republicans are moving more left of center.  Christy is a prime example.  I would not be at all surprised to see him go Independent like Angus King did.  Now he is caucusing with the Democrats.  I think if that happens, you could see a several others do something like this, like Scott Brown, for instance.  Personally, I think most people in the Northeast and on the West Coast, no longer share our values anymore. And Washington DC is trying to drags along with them.  Our own two Senators are not helping matters much.
  20. Absolutely none what so ever.  I work in a office with around 200 people and honestly most are hunters and/or shooters!  And they are not happy right now.
  21. Obama = a polished Hugo Chavez.  Chavez got the poor and downtrodden to support him in Venezuela with promises of of welfare, wage and land reform,  etc.  at the expense of the Upper and middle class. Obama is doing the same thing in this country.  Now he wants to de-fang the the rest of the population and consolidate power for the Central Government and the Democrats.  That's a damn scary article!  Glad we are starting to see the plan before it totally unfolds and we have no means to stop it.  Now what are we going to do about?
  22. I keep a Causality Blanket in my car.  You can use them for a variety of things like shelter, a tarp, collecting water, and as a blanket.
  23. Absolutely nothing wrong with that purchase at all, congrats!
  24. The Outlaw Jose Wales with Clint Eastwood!  One of the best westerns ever and the firearms used in the movie were awesome!!!  Cross Fire Trail with Tom Selleck (I really like most of his westerns) was another western where the firearms used were pretty dang awesome!!!  Another good western was The Long Riders with the Caradine brothers from back in the 70's.  Lots of great firearms in it too!   Others I like have been mentioned here already, like Enemy at the Gates, Red Dawn, Full Metal Jacket, and Kelly's Heroes!  Magnum PI was the show that made me fall in love with 1911a1s!!!
