  1. Not straight up.  The Glock is worth more.
  2. Sure hope it's true!  If so, CYA Piers!  Don't let the screen door bump ya in the bum on your way out!!! :)
  3. Prayer sent!
  4. Not sure there are many places that sale 28 gauge shells anymore.  410s are expensive as heck, now!
  5. That thing looks like a BRUTE!!! :)  Congrats!!!
  6. Complete cigar noob here!  So you can't purchase JRs locally?  A friend of mine gave me one to try a couple of weeks ago and I went to the shop he frequents, but they had none.  Explains that!  I was looking for a JR Edicion Limitada Montecristo.  I did pick up a Padron 3000, a Room 101 Serie San Andres and a Rocky Patel Sumatra for this weekend's festivities.  We are camping!!! :)
  7.   On this, we can agree! :)
  8. On the AK47 and 74, the rear sight was forward of the receiver.  On the AK12, it's mounted on the rear of the receiver, but it does look like the old leaf sight.  Still that is a improvement!  Plus you probably still replace the leaf sight with a peep is you are so inclined.
  9. If this was it, I would be shootin' first and askin' questions later! :D
  10. Glad to see that they are changing the sight radius on the AK.  I've always felt that it was the only weakness the AK had.
  11. Makes a lot of sense, spending a bunch of money on a trip to Africa, while our soldiers receive furloughs.  Washington is so F'ed up!!!
  12. My favorite auto was a Browning Hi-Power MkIII 9mm.  It was stolen, but it was a super shooter!  My favorite revolver is my Colt Agent .38 spl.  Super trigger and very accurate for a snubby!  The best autoloader I currently own is a Springfield 1911a1 "Loaded" Edition.  My wife owns a Glock 17 that rivals it.  It's just not a sexy as my Springfield!

    Tat Explosion

I don't mind tats and think some of them are pretty cool, especially sleeves!!I Personally, don't think I will ever get one though.  What I do mind is people having X-rated ones and showing them off in public.  My Splash Country story, along these lines, happened several years ago.  There was a young guy there, that had a tattoo over his whole back that showed a skeleton having sexual relations with a voluptuous young woman. And don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude at all, but Management should made him cover that up.  It had no business being exposed in a family oriented venue.   What the heck are people thinking when they get stuff like that inked on their bodies?  I mean at some point you figure he is going to be raising kids.  How do you explain that to them?
  14. Very troubling!  I would love to keep up with this suit, to see how it turns out.
  15. You two are old!
  16. It wasn't that long ago, that you could pick these up for around $160.  Welcome to the new reality. :(   Nice pick up!!!
  17. I'll take an All American Burger all the way, with fries!  Oh, you were talking about a blade! ;)
  18. I have always wanted one of these!!!  Beautiful job!!!
  19. Unfortunately, history has proven that you can't trust Governments.  That goes for our Government too.  It may be that the people in charge NOW are trustworthy, but who is to say that the ones following them will not mis-use about this tool, the intelligence community finds so invaluable? Better to do away with this program now and others like it, than to pass this on down to future generations to have to deal with.
  20. Oh, I think history as proven us Christians are as savage as those Muslims, when we want to be and it suits our purpose.
  21. Children will never be allowed to marry parents, nor siblings be allowed to marry each other.  No one would like the results of the offspring.   Most of Tennessee might be in Dixie (East Tennessee did not support the Confederacy, and was considered occupied territory by the CSA.  I'm pretty proud of that), but it won't matter, because in the next 20 years Gay marriage will be legal here.  The next generation is going to see to that.  This is a total non-issue to them.   The Government will never get out of the marriage business, because it's about taxes and benefits, two things the Government can't stay away from.
  22. The $500 I have invested in my .223 Saiga is some of the best money, I've invested in a firearm!  It's simple and rugged and as accurate as I am.  I've been shooting AR's for more than 30 years and I'd pick my Saiga over any of them.
  23. We were talking about this last weekend, at a family get together.  The younger adults were not aware of the older folks definition of the term.  They found it quite funny!!!
  24. Then you would have a more service members on welfare, food stamps, etc, because you can't support a family in the service, on a service member  salary.   I have no problem with gay marriage at all.  My personal feeling is that the Government no longer issue a marriage license.  They should instead issue Civil Union Contracts and leave marriage to the churches.  Marriages would no longer have legal standing, but instead marriage would just be a religious ceremony.  Civil Unions would have legal status.
