Who do you have your auto and homeowners insurance with?
Moped replied to jeff43's topic in General Chat
State Farm for all of it, but we are considering going to an Independent Agent and seeing how much money we can save. My dad did this and saved about $600 a year. -
Yeah they are. They just have different causes. I also gaurentee you that a significant minority of the Republican party either is anti-gun or pro gun control, just as a sugnificant minority in the Democratic Party is pro 2A. Thank God for both Pro 2A groups! My problem is that members of both parties seem to care more about their party, than they care about the country. And to me, they've both done more harm to this country, than good. The Democrats want to spend us to death and re-distribute wealth and the Republicans gave us the Patriot Act and they want to spend, spend, spend too. Neither party wants to balance anything, because money is power and the more money they spend, the more power they have as long as they control the Federal Government.

I'm an Independent with Liberatarian leanings, for all the reasons described in this thread! I used to be a Republican, until I realized they are just like the Democrats. Love this! :D So true!!!

Great pistols! I have a couple of friends one has a DW and the other has a Python, both with 6" barrels and the DW out shoots the Python for both of them! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I told my wife when all this Gay stuff started, it was all a publicity stunt. I suspect that A&E was even in on it. It sure solidified their base viewers and guaranteed another successful season. I personally don't watch the show or hardly any "reality" TV. I think it's all stupid.

For a $1000 you could get both a .357 or .44 mag and a 30/30. And why do you want as scope on one? Iron sights are plenty for any caliber other than .308 or 30-06. :) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

That was George Washington Sears in his Woodcraft and Camping. He's nickname was Nessmuck and he is credited with coming up with the Nessmuck style of knife and a double bit hatchet. It's a great book and still very much in demand. Here is a link to a free edition. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/34607/34607-h/34607-h.htm If you like that sorta thing, check out Horace Kephart. He was a writer and outdoors man that ran in the smokes back around 1900. -
48 Hours Live to Tell. I don't normally watch this stuff, but its really been good tonight. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

You should just drop cable and internet, then you wouldn't have to watch all that LGBT lovin' going on! ;)

Thanks for the testimony. That was really what I was looking for!

I've looked at this for my Saiga and I just might pull the trigger on it!

This! You are correct sir! :)

Saiga makes a good one and you can purchase a good conversion kit for AR mags from PSA.

I've shot the M16-A1 and the A2 for over half my life. That being said, I love the AK platform! I love the simplicity of the design, but what I don't love about the AK is the iron sights. The rear sight is too far forward for good accuracy. and they kept it on this design. They need to move the rear sight on to the back of the receiver and watch the groups tighten up.

The Grainger County Sheriff's Department has received a lot of attention of late from the Knoxville News Media, with all the break ins and the jail escape. Obviously, the good citizens of Grainger County need to remember just what they are getting for their money and clean the whole nest of vipers out of every office in the county and place good upstanding individuals in those offices. Sadly, good upstanding individuals don't run for office anymore.

A .380 Glock (ugh) is very underwhelming. Figure I will save myself several hundred dollars and continue to carry my Colt Agent .38. I continue to not see the fascination in the .380. It's expensive, anemic and scarce as hens teeth. The only use I find for it, is in a pistol the size of a Ruger LCP, that you can stick in the front pocket of a pair of shorts and not have them fall down from the weight.

I hope you are right JayC, but I have my doubts. I can't see Harwell, Ramsey or Haslem getting out of our way long enough to get what needs to be done, done. I don't think any of them are our friends. Some of them may pay lip service to our cause, but that's as far as it goes. On a national level, you can throw Christie on that list too, but he is NO FRIEND OF 2A!

Beretta changes mind in Va after Dem elected.
Moped replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I can understand why Beretta wouldn't want to locate in VA now. VA is quickly becoming the next Maryland and yet another State that is completely dominated by a big liberal suburban center (Northern VA), regardless of what the rest of the State thinks. We are seeing in more and more, as once traditional Red States are turning purple due to a large liberal suburban center. Colorado is another, with Denver now dominating State politics as is Pennsylvania and Ohio. Beretta would be far better off to move to one of the Southern states, like Tennessee, Alabama or Texas as would all the firearms manufacturers. -
What I don't get is how the factory put it all together in the first place. Seems like a part or three would have been broken in the process, giving them a clue that it was lemon. Regardless. this will not be a pistol I will but anytime soon. Of course, I said the same thing about Springfield 1911s when my buddy couldn't get his on target without putting on a ridiculously high front sight. Ten years later, I purchased a "Loaded" edition in SS from a friend that had to have another Springer in black SS and it's the best shooting 1911, I've ever possessed.

Garand, Safe, CZ, in that order. Merry Christmas! :)

True! I really enjoyed the movie, but it really just uses the bones of the book, then takes the story in a different direction to get to the same end... does that make sense? Being the self-declared dedicated Tolkien Dork that I am, I had to remind myself that it was a movie and would never be anything like the book. That's how I was able to enjoy the movie so much. That being said, I'd go back and see it again!!! Peter Jackson re-affirmed his status a master Cinematographer, Director, Producer, Writer and story teller in my mind!
