  1. It doesn’t get much better than drums and bagpipes, regardless of what Mrs. Garufa thinks, lol.
  2. Try a little grease on the slide rails. It’s amazing what proper lubrication can do.
  3. Sonic serves some mighty fine rings.
  4. How so? I run around with a goddamn mask in my car and on my face if ever have to go somewhere where other people are. Finally found a pittance of hand sanitizer the other day that I can use after going about amongst the unwashed. My paranoia level was at about 2 out of 10 before this started. Now I’m one of the sheep. To hell with all this. What happens when the next virus comes around? Somewhere between reason and reality we have all been manipulated....and not for some noble purpose of saving lives.
  5. Knox carries on. Compliance is about nil depending on where you go and what time of day it is. Many wear masks but they are a small minority... especially at convenience stores...and restaurants opening back up. This government cat herding experiment is rapidly falling apart.
  6. There is no denying that, to think otherwise is naive. It’s bad enough that private businesses do it for their own marketing and bottom line purposes as the examples you mentioned, it’s an entirely different thing when government harvests that information for their own purposes which are entirely different. I guess I’m the naive one thinking medical information was private. Perhaps patient confidentiality and HIPAA doesn’t mean what I always thought...unless It’s for the protection of government.
  7. What else should law enforcement and paramedics be made aware of before answering a call in the grand scheme of things? Serious question. I'm just wondering where the former line between privacy and need currently stands, and where it's going.
  8. How does everyone feel about The State turning over the names and addresses of positive COVID-19 persons to LE and other first responders?
  9. Never really thought about it but am still flabbergasted. Me and my Savage Mark II BTV will just carry on for my style of shooting. I can’t imagine getting much more accurate, it would ruin me.
  10. Nope. 158 gr LRN .38 Special.
  11. We need a proper sorcerer to remove to scourge of Torx from the realm.
  12. $2K for a .22 is kind of mind boggling unless you’re a professional competitive shooter or an Olympian. Sure you want to drop that much on a platform that has very limited range?
  13. 229 years of Federal and State court decisions, or lack thereof, say so. Not saying it’s right, it’s just the reality.
  14. I don’t think that a government agency is going to recommend anyone, at least they shouldn’t, but I would call the Blount Co. Property Assessor first, then the Register of Deeds. Regardless, sounds like a no win situation wherever the boundaries are. E.T is a wonderful place but the natives are tribal as hell and don’t take to too much change on “their” land.
  15. I think where people are taking their dumps might have something to do with it as well. Think of all those people who did their business at work who are now doing it at home, or kids formerly at school, or any others that choose to use public facilities. Those are all sources of TP that often come from something other than the regular retail supply chain. Now, more folks are having to buy their own, or at least more of it, from regular stores.
  16. I’d be full commando out back in the sun if there was a bit more privacy where I live.
  17. Vitamin D is a must during the winter. Might need to stretch that out further now. Or you could just sit outside in the sun all day...when it’s out.
  18. I have been to Kroger’s weekly since this situation started and it’s hit or miss every time. Without fail several of the things on my list will not be available and it’s aggravating as hell. I’ve tried going after the old folks hour ended also thinking they’d restock over night. Wrong! Judging from stuff still in boxes on the shelves, they’re putting it out as soon as it gets in. Stocking up is about impossible. There aren’t even any canned Lima beans, not that I’d ever put one in my mouth. Frozen veggies...don’t even look. Maybe we should all start slipping bills to grocery store managers for delivery info like the neckbeards did during The Great .22 Famine a few years ago.
  19. Close, but my chopstick is 3 ft long, lol.
  20. Please dispense with the “won’t happen here”. We see that maxim disproven on a daily basis it seems like. If Abdul and Fatima come over here and have a baby named Omar, well then little O is natural born.
  21. I use a bamboo garden stake. Basically a straight stick. Keeps the eyes, mind, and skills sharp, lol.
  22. Does this happen when the magazine tube is loaded or unloaded?
  23. That is an annual topic here. All kinds of recipes. Surprised no one has cranked it back up yet.
  24. The name as mentioned and the fact that Colt suspended civilian sales of AR’s for an undetermined amount of time back in the fall drove prices to ridiculous levels.
