Tennessee shoots down Memphis gun control
Garufa replied to Jpoc700's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well, surprise, surprise. While Sexton and McNally’s petty, vindictive bullying were a bit over the top, the whole thing is a losing proposition for the state. Memphis can no more enact gun regulations than the state can withhold their share of sales tax revenues. -
Not sure what the “upgrade” on Gen 2 Glocks involves but I do recall hearing something about that over the years. Regardless, Gen 2 triggers are the best Glock ever had.

Don’t get too excited. This is going nowhere.

Big trouble at the Piggly Wiggly, of all places.

No one should even think of such a thing much less use it as an example. Why would one make threats? -

And how has that worked out over the past 233 years? The point is. The vast majority of people think that the 1st gives them the right to run their mouths and confront people without repercussion . I submit it does not. If people would mind their own business then we would not be discussing some asshole at the Piggly Wiggly. On another note, I had no idea that Piggly Wiggly is still in existence. It was the first self service grocery ever and started in Memphis. -

While I don't agree with Yassin's new-found "activism" or his stances on may things, I think maybe the University's response (including UTPD) might have been just a little much. Buy all accounts he's a helluva nice guy. He now has three locations of his "Yassin's Falafel House", still well liked and the food is excellent. I don't think his reputation has been damaged at all. https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/crime/2024/05/16/knoxville-restaurant-owner-yassin-terou-injured-during-protest-arrest/73712670007/ -

Those days are long gone. The sooner everyone learns how to hold their tongue the better. 1st Amendment allows basically unfettered verbal agitation and smart-assedness just like the 2nd supposedly allows free access to all guns. Regardless, no one has any business or right telling a complete stranger what is right or wrong based on their own personal beliefs -

If we are indeed discussing Yassin then just google his name for news articles. -

If you are referring to Yassin, I think you might have your story all wrong. -
Hard to believe Evo’s are 3 or 4 generations ago in the past 25 years of motor history.

Loktite on castle nuts on AR lowers...
Garufa replied to leroy's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I’ve never staked or used Loctite on a castle nut but I live on the edge like that. -
That is a neat idea. I love revolvers but absolutely hate cleaning them. It is an awkward process with things spinning around and flopping about. I wonder how this design will hold up and respond to unintentional pushings of that button.

Definitely a Garand en bloc clip. Are the rounds empty or loaded with something? Maybe Blanks?

I’m a big fan of the Steelcase Leap V2 (fully adjustable). It is the pinnacle of office chairs as far as I’m concerned. No more backaches, shoulder aches or other weirdness when desk sitting. Thankfully I didn’t have to pay for the two I have. They are absurdly expensive.

All I know is that there is really not a general standard for AR-10’s as there is for 15’s. If you’re wanting to build one compatibility of components is something to consider.

Maybe you should go over to Current Events and Politics and tell us all about the truth of the Olympics.
