  1. "Roseanne Barr Speaks" and I change the channel. It's like fingernails on the blackboard.
  2. Welcome from Knoxville! Don't know the answers to your questions but luckily we are still using a list of places that DON'T allow carrying, not those that do.
  3. Not sure what you're looking for but if you only need supporting hand you can't go wrong with White Mule! http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=184240-169-4005&lpage=none I sometimes use just the left-hand glove for support and heat protection. That's about the extent of my shootin' glove knowledge.

We can't drool without a picture! Congrats! You can't beat a gun with history!
  5. I'm laughing my a** off! Maybe I'll try some me Judy chops or Ninger chops later on. Is this Napoleon Dynamite's other big brother?
  6. Nice job (and guns)! Now I've got another project - to build one of those boxes.
  7. Dang! There sure are alotta dudes pipin' in here! Happy New Year and may it be a good one for all the Ladies!
  8. I know .380 ain't cheap but if you intend on carrying the thing blow a couple hundred rounds through it to break it in and get used to it. There are a bunch of websites that sell ammo. Buy online, unless you can find a better deal locally. Here's just one place to start: http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php/cName/380-auto-fmj-ammo
  9. Welcome and you came to the right place! In TN it is NOT concealed carry. We are authorized with a "Handgun Carry Permit (HCP)" which allows open carry. Very few do and I don't think anyone around here will advise doing so.
  10. Looks good! I really like those Bersa's. Gonna need to get one at some point. Grease (not oil) up the slide rails and start puttin' some bullets through it. It should loosen up.
  11. Even more entertaining is the complaint filed... http://www.bradycenter.org/xshare/pdf/kempthorne-complaint.pdf Boo Hoo Hoo. The Brady Bunch can't go to National Parks now because they are so dangerous.
  12. Here's my experience.... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?p=103281&highlight=ultramax#post103281
  13. Just stay away from that Ultramaxx junk, unless you want a trip to the gunsmith. If I recall correctly my instructor specifically told us bring only new manufacture ammo. Probably a good idea regardless.

    My AR Build

Dang! It's gonna be a long winter! I know this does not help at all but I ordered my kit Nov. 2 (#21594). Received it Dec. 1. The point being, if Del-Ton is a normal business and assigns Order #'s in a logical and sequential fashion, they've had over 7,000 orders since just before THE ELECTION. All that business and they still have not raised their prices. That's a class act. BTW, my upper kit is of excellent quality and fits my DPMS lower quite nicely.

I've been waiting for this a coupla months now! You might notice... <-------
  16. Down in Memphis for Holiday business. Waiting for lunch time to get my bbq on!
  17. Is he some kinda half-assed GunBroker?
  18. For some odd reason I know have the bug to convert my 23 to 9mm. Never even thought about it until I heard here how easy it is to do, so why not? Much like anything gun-related anywhere else, Lone Wolf is out of the 23 9mm stock length barrels. So is everyone else. They told me last week would have some soon.
  19. Looks kinda like Privet. It'll grow! Tall, thick & fast. Bamboo does well in Memphis. You can have all you want if you're willing to go over to my Mom's house & get rid of the stuff.
  20. Ever see the movie Hostel?
  21. I hope the reply is not something along the lines of: "Please excuse us for our oversight. Simon Properties takes the safety of its patrons very seriously. We will correct the issue immediately by posting the proper signage to ensure your comfort and protection."
  22. What I've read and heard about how soldiers treated those fine old rifles just blows my mind! Didn't have any consideration at all for us enthusiasts 50 or 60 years later.
  23. I personally think you've made great choices, in caliber and delivery mechanism. I don't personally own either the Bersa or PT145 but have wanted a Bersa for a long time. I really like them alot and the only knock I've ever heard against them was the caliber. Well guess what, a .380 will drop a bad guy just as well as any other caliber - depending on shot placement and what you're hitting. That cartridge was developed over 100 years ago (between the 9mm and 45 ACP, roughly) and has been going strong ever since. Never handled the PT145 but saw one in action at the range the other day. The accuracy was astounding at 25 yards! I also know Taurus to be a good, solid manufacturer. Seems like the Spaniards and Argentinians are making some darn nice pistols at an affordable price. No wonder both are very popular. You chose wisely. Be proud of that.
