I've never had a problem with Wolf accuracy or reliability wise but my 1911 does not like those lacquered at all. Once everything get warmed up cases start sticking.

The Kydex is unlined so yes, if you constantly whip it out you may mar the pistol. That's the drawback. I'm trying to figure out a way to put some lining in that sucker. Kahr's aren't exactly pretty but I do like my guns to look good.

It's not that bad at all. It does look like alot but it's really not. I bought based on the many recommendations from folks here. The leather and holster part only add about maybe a hair over 1/8" to the thickness of the gun, if that helps. I'd like it even more if I weren't pushing my pants to the limit waist-wise. I like the versatility of it. You can change the belt clips or holster itself for different guns. Here's my CW9 in the thing:

And bullets to go with'em? -
Glad he's ok! Was the gun hurt?

They only list HCP's not CCW's.

I would tell you that ammunitiontogo.com has some nicely priced but it's all gone. Was there two hours ago but not now. They had Aquila 9mm 124 gr on there last night. All Gone! Should have ordered when I saw it.

So I went by CCA yesterday and they had a bunch of new CZ 75's. Was not looking to buy anything, just was in the neighborhood and thought maybe an LCP came in today. HA . Then want overruled need. Took a deep breath and went home. Festered throughout the evening about what I saw, did some InterWeb huntin', then went back today after work. Have always wanted one a CZ, for no particular reason other than they are cool and the '75 is the original wondernine, more or less. Well, I came home with the latest and greatest. The Omega edition. Has a redesigned trigger system (lighter, smoother pull, less parts, probably cheaper to make, etc). Here it is:

I did the clinic out there last year about this time and shot a CMP Carbine match last summer. When they say "rain" that translates into "the lightest misting of water from the sky". I know those big-a@@ targets are expensive but those old-timers running the show just don't wanna get wet! Either way, there's a great bunch of folks out there and it's worth the time! Unfortunately, cancellation is kinda on the spot. Maybe if they were to call people it might help, but then again it's fairly loosely organized.

This is the kind of thing that needs to be in the news! What a tragedy. I only hope that her family can come to terms with this type of loss. I've met and known alot of nurses around Knoxville on a social basis. God help you in a crisis. Everyone you ever meet will have a story of how someone went "whoops" and then a life was changed. MANY out there are not the sharpest tack in the box. I'm not trying to get down on health care "professionals" but they are held to a higher standard and mistakes are unacceptable.

There are a ridiculous array of options out there and like everyone says its a matter of taste and purpose. I decided that an AR was "needed" exactly 4 days before the election. Never cared for 'em but it's kinda cool to have. Got a DPMS lower here in town from CCA and a Del-Ton upper. I kept it simple. Wanted something as close to "original" without going overboard. Got a 20" barrel, standard feed ramps, gas blocks, etc. I did splurge on an A3 upper with detachable handle just for versatility. Not planning on playing GI Joe or using the thing for HD. Got better things for that. If you plan on shooting distance get a 20" barrel, like over 100 yards. If you want something to protect the castle, then look for something entirely different.

Wolf may not be ideal for consuming mass quantities in one session. I haven't really tried their newer polymer coated cases, but the older lacquer stuff could be a nightmare when the guns get heated up. I still have about 5 boxes of older Wolf .45 acp (lacquered) that I'm trying to shoot up. The first couple of mag fulls run fine but once everything warms up at least 1-2 cases fte from every mag after. Gun runs fine with brass. Maybe different gun/situtation story, it's just my experience.

Well, you've got one Izhevsk and two Tulas. I believe people prefer the Izhevsk because they are a bit rarer, but not by much. Or is it the other way around? Contestant #3 sounds like the most original. The stock may be original or at least correct for that year with dated stock cartouche and screwed sling slot escutcheons. I might go with that one. I know you've already been here: http://7.62x54r.net/ and there is alot of info.

It's totally different uncut.

You may not want to shoot it at all. I am by no means an expert but have heard my entire life to not ever shoot one. Primarily due to the old technology used to produce the barrels, they were designed for black powder and modern shell pressures could blow them up. Seems like there was a thread here recently about this. You might want to search and maybe Google it for awhile.

If your worried about it don't drive around with loaded mags. If you must load them at home before going to the range stick'em in the glove compartment and lock it or get some kinda range bag that you can put a lock on. Technically, the same could be said for boxed ammo. Oh, and don't get pulled over. It's gonna be up to the popo on scene what's right or wrong.

Do you mean your Great Grandfather's shotty? When you say twist do you mean damascus or a "twist" steel barrel? You may not want a firing pin if so!

Another idiotic Chattanooga Times editorial
Garufa replied to tng27's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Mexican gun laws are severe. While Wiki is by no means authoritative, this might give you a good idea of what average citizens may legally do south of the border: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Mexico Many of the guns are coming from the US, except for the RPG's, fully's and other "ordinance". Enough that gun dealers near the border are being prosecuted for knowingly selling fireams to these people. -

If you feel that you're not getting satisfactory service ask for the manager, owner or whatever. Ask the guy who's neglecting you to go find him. Same thing goes for when they say "we don't do deals" or anything to that effect. Regardless of the over-hyped and inflated "situation" we're in regarding firearms, sh**** customer service doesn't go far. Nor do absurd pricing policies and unwilliness to deal. Gun stores come and go. The ones with fair prices and attention to the educated consumer are the ones that survive.

Thanks for the report. Now that I'm cross-eyed may I make a few suggestions? Two spaces after periods. Paragraphs help too!

Originally had some technical difficulties. Now those are straightened out. I'm not a big country fan (at least what they call country now) but that's some good old fashion music the way it was meant to be!

Do the colors seem brighter? More dynamic? Mabye Moving? Your screen shots look just like they should. Unless you're thinking about the forum from like 6 or 8 months ago.
