  1. You could sell that at a gun show, or store, for 5 times more.
  2. Did you hear this at a gun store?
  3. Marlin. There is no other.
  4. +1 There were so many people there I'll never remeber you all so if you notice me some where please say hello! Great day, great time. Good people! Thanks Mark & Sue! BTW, OS, that bark was AWE-INSPIRING! There's already some pic posted...... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/20241-pics-fun-april-shoot.html
  5. It was a Blast! Good to meet everyone and applause go out to Mark & Sue for hosting a great event!
  6. Did you tell them you were shooting steel-cased ammo? Just wondering if that new barrel would be free or how Glock stands up to the customer service test.
  7. Garufa

    WHAT? $48.00

    Welcome to 2009!
  8. I see...Caliber is hard to recommend. They all work and work well. May just want to start shopping around for what feels best in her hands. Then there is the matter that ammo for any caliber is just about impossible to get now, unless you are willing to pay premium prices.
  9. If you cut the ring then the higher number counts. I score myself as if the bullet itself obviously touched ring, not paper tears from being really close. But that just who I am.
  10. Just my opinion, but don't start out a new shooter on a 9mm or any other centerfire round. Get or rent a .22 to teach the basics of handling, operation and safety. Then graduate to the big leagues for a possbile carry piece. What you might not consider a great amount of recoil a gal that's only got 110 lbs could. If .22 is all she can handle, then so be it. It's better than nothing and that little round has taken plenty of people down.
  11. Dood... Check the date. This was last year!
  12. Knoxville area folks: if you don't make the ET shoot or Expo fun show this Saturday there is a massive gun auction at Powell Auction & Realty! According to this list there's about 360 guns on the block. http://www.powellauction.com/files/041809_gun_list.pdf More details here: 041809_eq I've been to one of these before but not on this scale. It's interesting if you can figure out what's going on.
  13. You plan on drinking it all yourself?
  14. State law requires that reappraisal years are revenue neutral. This year the tax rates must go down or adjusted for the increase in assessment so taxes are not increased. It's what happens next year that is of concern. I encourage everyone to file an appeal and question the assessors on their methodology. Ask exactly why and what data was used to come up with that number. Challange what they say. Property assessors for the county are often not professional property appraisers. That's good and bad.

    Ruger LCR

    Plastic revolvers are an abomination.
  16. Just wondering what everyone's new assessment via appraisal is looking like. I only know that Knox Co. and Memphis/Shelby are reappraising this year. What about the rest of the state? Here in Knox, the statements have just been going out. Today I spoke with at least 4 people who were "readjusted" 100%! The tax man doubled the value of their property! What's going on everywhere else?
  17. How many bullets did you blow doing that! Must have been the world's suppy of .380. Apparently Sig's do shoot all by themselves. Just kidding. Great job!!!
  18. OhShoot & myself are driving up from Knoxville. Could fit one more in the 4Runner if anyone needs a ride. What time does the shindig start up?
  19. Actually, it was me that posted on the "lost day", but not looking for any bragging rights! Here it is again. Was my first trip out with the new CZ. Got a little spazzy as you can see but it all worked out! Ammo used was S&B "Range Safe" 124gr.
  20. City of Knoxville park....City of Knoxville - World's Fair Park
  21. I can't wait till he calls in for some BBQ. Where's that gonna come from? Minneapolis?
  22. Call up Naifeh. He'll cook'em up. Naifeh's raccoon barbecue goes on despite shake-up : State and Regional News : Knoxville News Sentinel
  23. Woody's weed must have really been kickin' in.
  24. SMLE (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield). Are several variations, but most common are: No. 1, Mark III (WWI) and No. 4, Mark 1 (WWII) however both were widely used and manufactured in WWII and for some time thereafter.
