  1. Well, since you bought all the Knoxville 9, it's $8.97 a box! Check your receipt.
  2. Wow. If that rifle could talk...must have seen some hellacious action! I initially thought that maybe your Garand was depolyed to the Pacific and carried by a Najavo code-talker who got the jump on a tojo and put some of said enemies "parts" into the butt of your rifle for good medicine. But since it's blond maybe somebody over in the European theater had the same idea about some Nazi. Glad to hear that Mike was able to excise the haints from your boomstick!
  3. Bet there was that one guy who went in and bought all the 8-piece boxes to stock up. Wal-Mart style. BTW, Garufa likes his chicken spicy and I'd be pissed!
  4. Good looking rifles! I see you started off your Garanditis proper. Remember to keep your thumb out of the bolt. Is there something wrong with my eyes or is that SA missing the rear sling swivel? If so, call CMP and they'll set it right. If not, pardon my nit-picking.
  5. You may want to check out the CMP forum. Like everything else gun-related the CMP crowd is buying up everything in sight.
  6. I have one of these and really enjoy it. It's the size of a USB key, has FM & 2GB storage. Doesn't have a big fancy screen but it works. The only downside is the display may be a little hard to see in direct sunlight. NWZ-B135FBLK | 2GB Walkman® MP3 Player | Sony | SonyStyle USA
  7. Can't we start a new forum dedicated to the weekly conspiracy theories? I'd like to be able to click on the Forums link and have a new option: "Tin Foil Hattery - post all unsubstantiated rumors here".
  8. For $50 you can go to a gun show, get an uffishal TN Carry Badge with matching wallet to hold that thing and your permit, a privately published book on gun laws and a box of ammo to boot! Then what do you get for $50? A box of ammo.
  9. Said target being a ridiculously huge peice of paper. I think the B-27 target is the standard, at least that's what we used. Either way I guess it's supposed to approximate about a 6' or more individual.
  10. There's always those old strip mines up on Windrock mountain just past the Brushy Mountain facility. Don't know how good that is for an extended session. May be more of a get in and out as quick as possible thing.
  11. Good idea. Never been but have heard of it.
  12. You must take pictures while there so we can all drool!
  13. Where to begin?... I've never been there myself and have put the trip off for too long! First, have you got your creds to buy from CMP? Second, from what I hear on the CMP forum there are only Field Grade Garands to be had at the store right now. All the service grades are held up for mail orders. But there are lots of carbines. If it was me, I would be looking for a Springfield Armory with a serial number below 3,800,000. That's WWII manufacture. Then I would look for the best wood you can and best bore. It's my understanding that the staff there is most helpful. Especially a guy name Leon.
  14. Fiero, I did not take my class from Mike Lett but have heard only good things about his class. From members here and elsewhere. I would have taken from him but was able to squeeze into another class last year without having to wait. I personally wish I had taken the class from an LEO (or at least this one). Like Mike.357 said he also runs a gun business on the side and is always set up at the Knoxville shows. He has the lowest prices on new guns that you will find there. Mainly S&W, SA & Kahr. Done business with him twice myself.
  15. If you mean ORSA, that's a private club. I'm down for whatever. Just need to get my shoot on.
  16. Not sure about medium or high, but I got see-through mounts for my 10/22 so I can use the iron sights too. Just a suggestion.
  17. I've got a Ruger Mark II bull barrel that will be with me till the end. Great gun, accurate, and there is no trigger pull to speak of. You can't go wrong with that. Don't have any experience with the new Mark III's but the one thing that Ruger does well is .22's. They started out that way.
  18. We're gonna needs pictures of that? Front sight & stock please.
  19. You might be able to set things right for just a few bucks...Parts....Winchester | 190 | e-GunParts.com
  20. Easy now oldfella, this thing has been around since '97... The Inter-American Convention Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials Not sure if the US ever ratified it, like it means anything anyway.
  21. What's wrong with you people? The man invented the internet. Doesn't that at least deserve a bobble-head or little action figure?
  22. Man, if I hear that one more time....
