  1. Don't mince words. Everyone who's in the business of M1 Carbines knows how much Aguila goes for, where it can be found and for how much. Wal-Mart has nothing to do with it. How did this become a personal attack? How are you a gouger?
  2. Didn't you post the same thing a couple or few months ago? Just wondering if I need to worry about my 442 or if it's a .357 thing. Have put several hundred rounds through it the .38 with no problems but do not trust that lock.
  3. That's what they're for! Just remember, rated for .22 to .45 caliber doesn't include .30 caliber rifle.
  4. Those spinners were a great deal. $20 for the single up to .45 caliber. The resetting one with 4 below and one up top was $55 if I recall correctly (same 3/8" steel). The .22 version was slightly cheaper.
  5. We must have been standing right next to you looking at it. Should have said something.
  6. Ya'll hush now! I did pick up an early P22 and don't want to jinx it! Will find out tomorow if one of the mags is a problem feeder.
  7. We did have a great time! The crowd started out big but was manageable. Lots of space to walk around and lots of tables. Ammo was everywhere and no one was buying the 3x or 4x overpriced Wal-Mart ammo. I'm thinking the gougers may have finally hit the plateau. That or everyone already has everything they need! Like the rest of the buch, got away with enough cash to get a Coke on the way home. Found the nicest Yugo M48 I've ever seen so that followed me home plus a buch of other little odds & ends.
  8. You can always sit out front and turn it into cash or whatever. Most people don't walk around with that much ammo. It's a weight thing.
  9. Been meaning to call the salvage yard all week that bkelm recommended. Hoping they'll have some 3/8 or 1/4" steel plates in a manageble size, like 2x2 or 3x3. A guy over on the CMP forum today posted his story of M2 ball and AP from the Garand vs. a sledge hammer at 50 yrds. The results are impressive: M2 Ball vs AP Test Results pictures by charlestonchase - Photobucket Although I do know better, what with ricochets and all, I am determined to blow a hole throught steel. May need to go shopping for an athletic protector before the experimentation begins.
  10. Absolutely. You can get a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel for the 23 for about $100. The 23 magazines work for 9mm but some have reported problems with that, but the 19 magazine fill fit right into the 23.
  11. There was huge outrage on this forum when this became known several months ago. The matter has not been discussed here for some reason since, guess everyone got bored with it, but I share your infamy. There is a bill going through the legislature to seal those records. I have no idea what the status is. When it is passed the CA, will continue to post this database of EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE STATE and most likely be grandfathered to do so. Regardless, they will fight it in court. If everything goes as it should this may be the last time they update. I could go on at great length about how this pisses me off, but the editor of the CA and Scripps-Howard have no concept of reality and are only in the business of creating news, not reporting it. Unfortunately, that means exposing law-abiding citizens for exercising rights granted by the state and categorizing us under a "Public Safety" topic complete with related articles of screw-up HCP holders.
  12. And bring stuff to shoot At. Is it June 13th yet?
  13. I'll let ya'll know how they are. I couldn't resist.
  14. Knoxville area's not but 100 (or so) miles. Worth the trip just to shoot some different guns!
  15. What prompted this article from 2001? Maybe I missed something but the author cites no examples of a physician asking for such information.
  16. Aye on June 13th. Thanks go out to BigJ45 for offering up his place! (and in what general vicinity is it?)
  17. If Pier 1 ever started selling guns... Still trying to figure out that funky chicken looking front sight.
  18. MA may have law against that much ammo, regardless of any other theory. I found this on the InterWeb, on a pro-gun MA site, so draw your own conclusions.... Powder and Ammunition Storage
  19. Go buy more guns and ammo.
  20. You did explain it was the last Glock didn't you?
  21. What'chu talkin' 'bout, Bluemax?
  22. At least you'll get a magazine and some type of laser beam.
  23. I only ask out of curiosity. Ruger makes the only SA .22 as far as I'm concerned. Since Mother won't let me near her Bearcat, and like a fool I sold the Single-Six from my youth, been thinking might be nice to have something along those lines.
