  1. I know that the various solvents and cleaners seem to work differently. I can do the full course of Hoppe's #9 until the patches come out clean then run a patch soaked in Rem-Oil down the barrel and guess what? Black stuff. BTW, is there any documented, scientific proof that brushes or cleaning from the bore (if done carefully withouth steel rods) and/or reversing the the brush back through causes any damage whatsoever? I'm really curious because the theories on cleaning are as common as debates on caliber and XD vs M&P vs Glock!
  2. He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
  3. I'm hungry too. Maybe time for a little Tombstone.
  4. Let me know what you end up with. I'm good for now. Got a crate of that Czech stuff in the garage! Don't think I'll ever open it since Motosyco bought the last case.
  5. Maybe you could file out the notch in the key a little? Hard to do without a nice round file though. Maybe you could sand or file down the entire bottom of the key to bring the whole thing down a little. The sight key is there to line up the front sight and keep it in that position. The pin holds it in place. In other words if you had to shave a little off the bottom it will still do it's job.
  6. Well that's how it all started.
  7. Complete with bayonet and without the Nancy-Pad. Way to go!
  8. Actually those hands you see belong to Mike.357
  9. Is that the bore after a thorough cleaning?
  10. Had a great time as usual. Thanks to everyone who let me enjoy their fine weapons! I just took one of my boots off. A .22 shell fell out.
  11. Is the hole in the sight aligned with the groove in the sight key? Can you see through it without obstruction? Is this a new front sight, key and pin? How did you get in this predicament?
  12. Best of luck to you Glen. Was nice meeting you the other day. Wish it could have been sooner!
  13. Ammunition deliveries are labeled this way: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/76/ORM-D.png/200px-ORM-D.png or something resembling that. Depending on who ships and your local UPS guy...mabye no signature and they'll just leave at the door. That seems to be the Knoxville way.
  14. Did he have a side reporting Man's first walk on the Moon?
  15. You are well protected. Don't fret.
  16. I stand proudly behind the Nancy pad.
  17. Sounds like someone is bound and determined to get paid.
  18. RIP. Was raised on his voice. Will never forget. "And that's the way it is"
  19. I really do want to try that out sometime. Need to study on the gear and what to start with. Plus most of us are shooting a whole different kind of "single stack" tomorrow. Like 5 rimmed .30 cals.
  20. Nice looking Magnum!
  21. Trying to decide between the two drove me nuts one day and most likely strecthed the patience of the gun store guy. The M&P is a far better looking gun, but the XD really fit my hand just a little bit better. I bought neither as there are other choices out there. That and I don't need another pistol!
  22. Oh Snap!
  23. Don't you have anything clever or witty to say like the rest of the wisenheimers?
  24. Motasyco, I can float you a few rounds of the Czech if you come to the shoot tomorrow. Enough to give you a taste. I was about to pitch a bitch halfway through your post about that free shipping. Was about to call AIM! 'Cause the shipping I paid was substantial (in my mind).
