  1. I'm thinking BDL Deluxe is just the current fancy name for the model 552 Speedmaster. The marketing name is not usually stamped on the gun. They might just call it that to sound a little more triumphant. It's a Speedmaster!
  2. That just blew my mind.
  3. The Dingo dog is indigenous to Australia. Alan Alda (Hawkeye Pierce) wore the same pair of boots throughout all 11 seaons of MASH. You're stoopid and I'm not and you can't help it.
  4. Isn't this you at Woodstock?
  5. IMHO, you can't compare an S&W 66 to a Glock 19. There are too many differences. I would keep the Glock and save up for the '66. It's a fine revolver. You will not find one for less than $600, regardless of what some books might say. If you do buy it!
  6. Saw Carcano today.
  7. Bailey's West Knoxville. No Posting. They also allow smoking. If you're into that.
  8. If it slides grease it. Oil is not grease. I put a little dollop of Tetra grease on the slides of my semi-auto pistolas. They will extract and chamber a round faster than any other while not causing any wear.
  9. The 'mum is coveted as we mandated that it be ground off after the surrender. That is why it's fairly rare and gets a few extra $. The price you mentioned I have no opinion on. Don't know that much about Jap rifles.
  10. Good try ... chrysanthemum. Dang good question!
  11. Had a little free time this afternoon and ventured out to GM to investigate this M1917. What I found was an Eddystone that appeared to be all original: Eddystone receiver, barrel, stock and bolt. Did not get to tear the rifle down to analyze all the parts (most parts were marked on these). The finish is a fairly dark black, which may be original? The serial number was stampled on the bottom, near the heel of the stock. A small oval brass plate is on the right side of the stock with the # 70. Original? I don't know. Bore looks good with sharp rifling and gauges a 2 (I carried my CMP gauge out there) Is it worth $599? Not to me. Although it appears original, some bubba drilled a hole on the face of the receiver somewhere between 1918 and now. It's not a complete hole, but kind of a half-hole on the receiver just above the bolt. Enough to obscure part of the E in Eddyston.
  12. Moped, please do keep posting your sightings of the good stuff. That's the kinda stuff I like. BTW, I have a review of Gander's M1917 on your other post.
  13. There's no Megan Fox in this one. Maybe that's the problem.
  14. I approve of Jennifer Grey's replacement. The rest of them look like a bunch of twits.
  15. There's only one man fit to be King right now. I pray everyone down in Memphis gets out and votes in October. It's time you take that city back. Jerry "The King" Lawler!
  16. You nonconformist rebel.
  17. No reading in my bedroom. I've got the real thing.
  18. This ain't "literature".
  19. That's alot of effort to relocate the reading materials to a strange place. But I did. All is good.
  20. Here's a bad situation: It's 9:20 pm, the light bulb just burned out in the library, there are no replacements on hand, and you want to read for a few minutes.
  21. The interior is Champagne "wit da bubbles".
  22. EMO = EMotional Oddity.

There's one posted up in the classifieds as I type...
  24. Looks like they set a shotgun off in there. Several times.
  25. Good Morning, M.
