  1. The Guns & Gear Expo is this weekend (12-13) so you can do both. It's hit or miss with the guys at John Sevier. I've never had a problem with them but some others around here have. I would be happy to destroy a keg for you. Full or empty. But there is a no alcohol policy there so if you're one of those unlucky types who would cause the Man to come up there and he sees that thing you might have some extra 'splaining to do. I think as long as everything is cleaned up, as we always do, and nothing extra stoopid goes on to agitate some other shooters, it's all good, in a not supposed to do it but nobody cares kinda way
  2. DAG is German.....need pics!
  3. Very nice! I still think Mosin's are the butt-ugliest guns ever created but I have soooo much fun shooting mine!
  4. You quoted me in mid-edit.
  5. I have no idea what they're talking about but that's some good TV (or whatever you call it on the interweb)! It's really amazing how fast a trained marksman can operate a bolt action. Just ask whoever went up against the British and their Enfields. They were trained to fire something like 30 rounds/minute from their Smellys.
  6. I left that out 'cause sometimes there's a smokin' hot chick there selling bullet jewelry she makes.
  7. I saw Thompson Machine and thought Tommy-Gun. Carry on.
  8. For those of us Knoxville-area TGO'ers who cannot attend the Main Event in Winchester and must be subjected to Beef Jerky, gutter-guards, cheap-ass pocket knives, flowery gun cases, jars of pickled eggs, and if we're lucky Egyptian cotton sheets.... I propose meeting at the doors at 9:30 AM. Some have mentioned breakfast before but don't know if I can make that. I am on a mission to sleep past 8:00 just for once!
  9. So Glocks blow up even without ammo. Interesting.
  10. All I've used in mine is Silver Bear FMJ and HP's they function flawlessly. Haven't tried any other brands. Mine ejects shells with authority. They go as far out of the side as the bullet goes down range. LOL
  11. Party on Garth.
  12. So round-trip time from Knoxville is 6 hours 6 minutes, 3 hours 46 minutes from Goodlettsville. Like OS said, 6 hours drive time for us. Regardless, as much as I would like to see the inaugural Guns & Gear Expo, cant really afford to burn up a whole day this time of year driving around...too much going on. I'll be at the Knoxville show around 9:30 or whatever time Mike.357 tells me to be there.
  13. That very same holster came with my CZ-82. There's enough leather in it to make 2 or 3 more holsters.
  14. Glock = Perfection.
  15. I was a Lady hunter until I got married. Sorry, I couldn't resist.Ladies please carry on...
  16. It's really a neat little pistol gun. The first handgun I ever shot was my Mom's original Bearcat (that she still has and won't let me near). Great little gun for backpacking, camping or whatnot. It really is the ultimate plinker. A certain Sistema 1911 commanded by SUNTZU that you and several others of us know was put through it's paces as well. That is a sweet gun.
  17. Depending on where you take the class, sometimes guns are provided, and they are often .22's. Might want to check on that.
  18. Made Tebow cry.
  19. Bama whooped Florida.
  20. The field was muddy but we had my little girlie plate out there to shoot at. There was nothing left of those pins after the hurt put on them by a 500 S&W, .45-70 and 00 Buckshot.
  21. Today's range conditions....
  22. 70below, kwe45919, Suntzu and myself are the manliest of men. We went to Norris and had the place to ourselves. Did you know that firing a high-powered rifle stirs up a snow storm from the roof over the benches.
  23. Well, I spent a good part of the day shooting a Bearcat.
  24. Does anyone have one of these they can bring to setup over my bench: Amazon.com: Garden Sun GS4400SS Floor Standing 44,000 BTU Propane Powered Patio Heater With Push Button Ignition, Stainless Steel: Home & Garden
  25. For some reason Sheldon and the Big Bang Theory comes to mind...
