  1. BTW, this is about CartRidge, not cartidge ID!
  2. Has anyone every seen this site: MUNICION.ORG It's a great resource for identifying just about any kind of cartridge you can imagine. The bad thing is it's in Spanish, of which I know nothing but not that hard to figure out for the major words. If you poke around a bit there are pictures and county of origin of all kinds of stuff. Just my PSA for the day. Cuss me or thank me as you like.
  3. Don't forget you'll have to pay a transfer fee and TICS at the dealer who receives.
  4. You'd think an American could come up with that but nope, dude's an Aussie. Regardless, I love to hear it in all the threads.
  5. Ya know people collect stuff like that. Not me, I like old bullets, just sayin'. Some people just shoot it. It won't hurt the gun.
  6. Kalifornia can kiss my ENtire ass. Like alot of places it's a great to visit, but wouldn't want to live there.
  7. Jimmy of the Badge?
  8. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/ammunition-reloading/23679-shelf-life-ammo-stored-gun-safe-2.html#post314165
  9. In ammo cans a I'd say a long time otherwise they might go Road Warrior on you.
  10. Are you going to start the same "it's OK to open carry any way you want to" indefensible defense you did in the Radnor Lake incident thread?
  11. IMHO recommending the SA mil-spec is good. The only thing improved over what he trained on is the sights (and it's not 30 years old). I personally have no problems with the "budget" 1911's. Rock Island for example. They are even cheaper, like $400, are faithful replicas of the original 1911A1's, are just as reliable as Kimbers, and most likely shoot just as well...depending on what kind of marksman you are.
  12. Oh, the jocularity.

    What are these?

I honestly think it is but I'm no where close to an expert. Maybe even a little more like $175 (she is your MIL after all). Whatever you do get that shell holder off the stock before the finish gets ruined. The fabric will attract and hold moisture up against the wood. If you do get the rifle leave it like it is!
  14. Famous last words.
  15. A good deal of them are just plain drunk. It's amazing what free meals and drinks will get whoever is paying the bill.
  16. That's the way Califonia wanted it so let them pay for it. I'm tired of bailing them out along with every other mismanaged business in this country. Have been sick of it for YEARS.
  17. What kind of scale? I'm curious myself
  18. And you're considering this one week into winter!
  19. Certainly not! Texting while driving is illegal in TN.
  20. Did anyone notice the badge in OP's picture? Looks like you can get them personalized! Hold me back.....Where do I order...click, click, click, it's real easy.
  21. Since we're beating a long-dead horse...If you want to wear a badge go to the academy and become an officer or just become a codes inspector or something, they get badges too. If you just want to wear one...then be prepared to talk your way out of arrest for impersonation, being thoroughly scolded by an LEO should you happen to have an encouter or just all-around ridicule from your friends (and internet people).

    What are these?

Those little Browning SA's are not cheap, even used. Have never owned one but they are classics often left out in the semi-auto .22 wars of 10/22 vs Marlin 60's, most likely due to being in a whole different price range. In addition to the weired stock-loading tube mag and bottom ejection, it is collapsible.
  23. Which is exactly why I don't go out on New Years Eve. Good post and great reminder of what could happen when over-indulging and driving. If TV in this country had the cojones to show something like this it might just have a positive impact.
  24. I need a Viking helmet. Maybe it would enhance my skills at the range.
  25. There is a gun show this weekend at Chilhowee Park. That might be the best place to start if you're unsure of what you want. Samples of just about everything are available for drooling.
