If you mean chrome-lined they are more resistant to corrosion but not corrosion-proof, nothing is. -

For just a few more $, but still under $300, you could get a used Smith & Wesson Model 10 or 64 .38 Special revolver. A great all around gun. They make shotshells in .38 for those pesky snakes.

May I ask why he has a K31 that he needs magazines for? I'm pretty sure they are like Enfields...you only need (and are issued) one mag. You feed from clips thereafter.

The people have spoken! Don't trade it away. You will regret it (if you're normal ) especially something that nice. I still have my first .22, pistol, shotgun and centerfire rifle. There's no way I'd ever let them go.

It all depends on what kind of assault rifle you're looking at. Whatever it is, if you trade you might need some cash out of the deal. Belgian made Auto-5's in that condition command a premium. Even in 20 ga. Keep it and buy an AK for $400.

If you're ever in Henderson, Robertson's Trading Post has tons of guns at good prices. They sell lots of used stuff too, quite uncommon lots of other places.
