You may want to pick up an M1917 "Enfield" as there is much debate over what he actually carried in France. Last I heard it was highly possible he trained on an '03 stateside and was issued the '17 over there as they were produced in far greater numbers. That's just one side of the story. Some guy trying to sell a CMP 03 at a gun show last year assured me that he was close personal friends with the York family and swore it was a Springfield he carried. Just make sure you have both rifles and you'll be covered.
