That gun is not rated for +P ammo. I would not use any in it, while others might tell you only in moderation.

If you have banking experience then First TN is HQ'd in Memphis. Just something to consider. Not saying there are any opportunities but something to look out for. As far as a place to stays at ...I recommend Midtown, but I'm biased, I grew up in the middle of Central Gardens. So the only advice there is that there are no apartment complexes or buildings (with a couple of exceptions) you'll want to consider in that part of town. There are houses for rent and a bunch of upstairs garage apartments. No idea what the prices are like. BTW, UT Memphis is Downtown, not Midtown. The dividing lines there are very clear...for example, you could live in a house on the North side of the tracks (in this scenario those 1 block south of Central Av.) and have gangs and cracks houses 100 yards away on the other side of the tracks but you would never have any problems. It's a weird place.

Do you place a $ amount on your time? The PSL is cheap to shoot (for now) but all that inexpensive ammo is corrosive meaning a whole lot more clean up...like inside the gas tube, etc. PITA! Plus they are not MI Dragunovs so accuracy and quality results may vary. You won't find any match grade ammo for a PSL either. At least surplus. The FNAR I know nothing about other than you won't be shooting corrosive ammo through it and your ammo options are far greater. If I was serious about 500+ yards in a semi I'd go with an M1A (or a Garand), but that's just who I am.

In addition to squeezing the triger as opposed to pulling it, try to take advantage of the trigger reset. Keep the trigger depressed after each shot then slowly let it out until you feel it reset. Then you are ready for the next shot and have only about half the pull distance. This helps alot. Those correction targets TDR posted are a great help too.

I already have rings, they came with the $53 scope. Maybe that is an indication of budget for this project.

So I've decided the only way to appreciate my AR is to mount a scope and see what kind of accuracy the thing is capable of. The gun and scope I've got are irrelevant, other than it's an A3 upper. Should I get some kind of mount that attaches to the detachable carry handle so I can also use the iron sights or a riser block in place of the handle to get the scope up to a usable level? Looking for ideas, opinions and brands to look for. Let's hear what I need!

When was the last time you saw Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Road-Runner or any of the other good cartoons on TV? Airings are few and far between now. Too violent for the delicate children of today. I distinctly remember some "movement" against these particular 'toons back in the '80's.
