  1. I hate, despise and otherwise loathe Mayonnaise. Through another thread today there appears to be others like me. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/39543-happy-cinco-de-mayo.html Voting is simple. Do you prefer Mustard or Mayo. It's one or the other and this ain't Burger King so you can't have it your way. One is better than other. Choose. I would die without Mustard.
  2. Outstanding! I call dibs on this quote for my sig line if I decide to use it. My woman dragged a 62 pound case of ammo through the front door yesterday. Didn't even ask what it was. She already knows something is afoot and definitely does not approve but she's down to just eye-rolling now.
  3. I just received a 40" Tipton cleaning rod from Miday that came in the exact same size box that a Mosin would. Perhaps one could order a couple of those to desensitize another to what is being delivered. Then have an old Russian boom-stick delivered under the guise of a cleaning rod.
  4. Hope everything works out for you. On the upside, that is a mighty fine BBQ pit you have.
  5. You have been quiet with all this talk of Mosin boolits. Fess up, did you get some too?
  6. Sounds like it is. If it's in green spam cans instead of the old galvanized, lead sealed containers you also got the royal treatment. When you get your C&R in a couple of months get a Mosin from AIM. They are of the highest quality.
  7. 5 is my favorite number.
  8. Nastiest stuff ever created.
  9. Let's go to the Winchester.

    Remington 1911 R1

Yep, you can follow it up to the front of the trigger guard.
  11. A well-maintained Toyota will last forever but that Land Cruiser has a big gas tank and it's thirsty. Just something to consider.

Well the frame is cast, not forged. Based on that it is possible that the gun is entirely manufactured in America at that price. http://www.1911r1.com/pages/Support/Artwork.aspx Lots of very hi-res pics here, look at the 3rd picture, you can see the casting seam. I really have no opinion on it yet...trying to get around that big R.
  13. There's plenty of riff raff around here. Maybe we can send'em to Jackson. When are these online newspapers gonna start proof-reading?
  14. Am watching it now....really is one of the greatest.
  15. Just realized I might be mildy retarted, this thread is about the Economics of the floods, not whatever Econmonics is.
  16. Unless there is something obviously broken on the bolt don't fool around with trying to take it apart. Try Mike's mags and properly lubricate the gun. I bet that will fix it....unless Bubba had it before you did. What's the history of this most excellent weapon?
  17. Just got off the phone with my best friend from college who lives in Mt. Juliet and manages a restaurant at Opry Mills mall. Luckily, the corporation relocated him the day the rains came. His 60 employees are not so lucky. I honestly have been to busy gawking at pictures and videos on the internet to consider the economic impact of the floods in Middle and West Tennessee. Opry Mills is still under water. Between the mall and hotel there are literally thousands of people employed that will be without jobs...for a long time. Even management is not allowed in and probably not will until the end of the week. After that it will be months until things are cleaned up if they can be. Chances are there will be alot of demolition this year in Nashville. The losses must be in the billions and not just of property. I think the economic impact of this disaster will be staggering. What are your thoughts, especially from the Middle TN crowd? My prayers go out to those affected by this catastrophe.
  18. They were both Frenchmen. Use your imagination. Just don't try to pronounce it up at Norris (or any other range or gun store) in mixed company.
  19. This is true. I've seen those U marked repros and as a general rule USGI mags are blued but many were parkerized (at arsenals). I have a couple of the parked ones and they are fine, but prefer the blued.
  20. You understand. Apparently there are 3 who do not.
  21. "Chicks dig a Big Mosin"...that would be a great bumper sticker.
  22. I recommend that before this goes to far, and it will, you all think long and hard about what you'll say standing tall before the man after taking another life in self-defense.
  23. I have no idea what you are talking about. Let me be the first to blame it on Obama.
  24. You reckon that's why WalMart's been peddlin' that high-dollar WinClean stuff? It keeps your gun more cleaner.
