  1. But take the grips off first.
  2. It's gun show night on the Outdoors channel and Shooting USA's Jim Scoutten and crew are featuring a CMP clinic at Oak Ridge. 8:30 EST BTW, this was filmed about a year ago. If I even got panned by the camera that day I'll be offering up autographed screen shots in the Trading Post.
  3. If you act fast WM out at East Town (or Knoxville Center if you prefer) had several boxes of Winchester 9mm NATO 124grs for $12.47/ea.
  4. You may be right. My impression has always been the average rifleman, grunt, private, etc. was doing what he was told and was not privy to the grand scheme of things other than what trickled down through the ranks...most of it BS I'm sure. There isn't too much focus on officers in this series I noticed.
  5. Mike, you commentary is excellent and you see the series for what it is. It was never meant to be BoB in the Pacific, it is an entirely different story written by different people. The only thing the two share in common are producers and excellent special effects. The war in the Pacific was so vastly different than in Europe there is no way to tell the same or similar story. My only complaint is the seeminlgy schizophrenic plot and the fact they tried to compress over 3 years of combat into 10 episodes. The series could easily have been twice that long. As far as the plot goes, I have a feeling that is intentional, not only for brevity, but to help put viewers into the Marines' shoes. They probably had no idea of what what going on either big picture-wise. I will be watching it the rest of the Summer.
  6. Don't know about the clicking but after reading your OP all I can recommend is never shooting Ultramax ammo again, unless the 4th gens have a fully supported chamber. Even then I would advise to avoid that ammo like the plague. I narrowly avoided a potential disater with that ammo in my G23 several years ago only by having two .40's at the range one day. Luckily I put the Ultramax in another gun. Was also lucky for the smith at the range who got my $35 for extracting the remnants of the case.
  7. That's news to me. The LW 9mm barrel with G19 mag works great in my G23 with no modifications whatsoever. That I do not dispute.
  8. In the parking lot of the Dubai Bowling Center?
  9. I saw people. Zoom into the residential looking areas behind the absurd building they have going on. You will find them. The first I found were playing baseball. Then I found a Burger King.
  10. That's what T-shirts are for.
  11. Never heard of such a critter. Is this is it? HOWA M1 Carbine
  12. It just figures you guys would schedule a big shootennay when I can't come.
  13. Not Lou, but good night...
  14. Looks like you'll need to click the link. Too bad, soo sad... YouTube - The Pixies : Where Is My Mind (1988)
  15. I'm honestly surpised this thing has gone on for so long. The only law in a courtroom in this country is what the presiding judge says it is. They have wide latitude in determining and enforcing how the procedings in the room are conducted. If our "Burger King, have it your way society" were allowed to act however they damn well please in a courtroom it would be complete and utter chaos. There is no free speech in court. Two sides are allowed to present their arguments. Nothing more, nothing less. I hope the ho learned something from her 48 and others take notice.
  16. Don't you get mesmerized?

    New Gun, Or Not?

IMHO, what does mastering one gun without knowledge of others get you? In a bind when the Zombies come, that's where. I really like the idea of a 9mm 1911 but talk about myths of reliability issues, they are off the chart. Want a 1911? Get it in what it's intended for...45 ACP. Need another 9? Hi-Power or CZ 75 is the way to go.

    AR-15???

Actually 5.56mm is the most common but will fire the .223, not the other way around. When shopping around make sure it is rated for 5.56 ammo.
  19. I have no sympathy for the skank. What kind of person 1) wears that kinda crap in public and 2) would walk into a courtroom with it on. That's just plain dumb.
  20. That is foul.

    The Last One?

If my least meal had to be food it would be 2 maybe 3 hambugers from Tops Bar-B-Q with Mustard, Pickles and onions. Simple, yes, but mighty satisfying.

  23. Dang, I've never shot with BM (Bluemax, do you mind ). Hope you guys have a good time and let's do it again in the next few weeks!
  24. I'll be on the West Side this weekend (Memphis) but if you get 70b, Mike and whoever to show up you'll have a good time.
  25. Garibaldi's was the first pizza I ever burned the roof of my mouth with. The original over by Tiger High.
