  1. This should mess up everyone's night, hopefully.
  2. I agree with you 100%. Yes, there are still individual craftsmen that can produce beautiful firearms but the days of mass-produced weapons made of quality (steel & walnut) materials, fitted well, without danger of breaking or not functioning properly, and are nicely finished are long gone. Quality used guns command a premium for a reason.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0s21VAJdCM Wonder what a spare mag costs?
  4. Nicole Kidman and Rene Zellweger. Out of my current collection the worst is Clear and Present Danger. Have not watched it once since buying.
  5. And get splatter on it!
  6. Fuch is what I first thought.
  7. I'd say 10 is about all you can get in a straight magazine that would fit in the handle of a semi-auto. Due the the rim of the cartridge, any mag is going to need to start curving, bananna-style.
  8. The Mexicans won that battle.
  9. I have asked myself the same question many times and come back to the same conclusion during every one of my inner dialogues. I have and don't like both the AR or AK. The typical AK platform was designed for a midget but is mighty reliable and fires a powerful round. The AR is too complicated and throws out a little 22 bullet with a little better accuracy. If it was a SHTF gun, I'd keep the AK. If you're looking to accessorize and be the coolest kid on the block keep the AR. If you're looking long term after SHTF, then 223 rounds will be much more available. You decide. But, if your only problem is the mag release, talk to some 10/22 shooters.
  10. That is a beautiful shotgun. Take care of it.

Who knows what about these? German Sports Guns GSG 1911 .22lr Pistol I'm liking it. Discuss.
  12. Y'all know who Herb Parsons was, right?
  13. Have no connections but if you could somehow get word to Peyton, I bet he would make it happen. I guarantee the UT Athletic department knows how to. Maybe they could help. Hope your friend pulls through.
  14. Here's everything you ever wanted to know about the Body Farm, including your pledge. University of Tennessee: Forensic Anthropology Center
  15. You folks obsessed with death do know that family or whoever is entrusted can override your wishes in such matters after the fact, right? Goes back to my comment on funeral laws in this state. They are powerful.
  16. You've been thinking about that one for a while now, haven't you?
  17. This is one of those times I wish Google did not exist. Never knew what that was called. I though it was pipe tobacco.
  18. I have only shot one mag full through one of these before but it was very accurate and would make a handy little carry piece. I'm sure the DA pull is stout, it usually is on this type of gun. Have you stripped it and cleaned all the cosmoline out yet? If it's coated in that heavy grease that will have some effect on it too. I would disassemble the whole thing and soak the parts in mineral spirits or something to make sure it's nice and clean.
  19. Very nice, but I really wish you hadn't posted that picture. Thought I had already convinced myself one of these was not needed. There will be a discussion and battle of wills between me, myself and I tonight.
  20. What scrubbing? Just oil it up and you're done. Might want to clean the barrels out and put some oil in there too if it will continue to sit unused.
  21. I believe in Japan you rent a space for a few years then the family has to come collect the bones. No land to bury in that country. What was this thread about?
  22. +1 All my people are there. Like back 4 generations. Occasionally when down there I'll stop by the office and have them check the records. Can't have them double-stacking on my kin. I even own land there myself, not that I'll ever use it.
  23. You are very wise for planning ahead. What's that cardboard box costing? I bet it's around $1000? AFAIK, cremation requires some type of container per state law. The funeral lobby in TN is very powerful. Need to check with my little brother, he is a mortician.

  25. Walmart sells tacky-ass coffins. I mean those things are ugly. They also sell urns if you choose to incinerate a loved one and put 'em up on the mantle.... Search results for urn - Walmart
