  1. Were there customers in the store at the time? What was the reaction from the other employees? Did you even notice? I promised myself not to get involved and prolong this tiresome thread any longer but hell, if it helps you with your attitude problem...
  2. Will you be dancing a jig or maybe a reel?
  3. .600 Nitro Express is all I feel safe with.
  4. Repost http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/newsworthy-reports/44548-us-opposes-seoul-s-bid-sell-old-rifles.html
  5. And that starts with quoting yourself.
  6. Some bullets just poke holes much better than others and magically find the perfect spot to hit. All without thought or effort from the operator. Take the mighty .40 S&W for example....
  7. You rabble-rouser.
  8. My experience with Domino's is that my poo smells like cat dung the morning after. My experience with working is you do what you are told and don't rock the boat if you are at the lowest point in the totem pole of a food service business. Outside of that industry, once you get salaried and are a little further up the chain, then you may start making recommendations and arguing with management. Even then, you have to be very convincing and correct. Never forget....they are paying you for work. Not for the pleasure of your company, opinions or catering to your feelings. It's a job. Want it another way? Start your own business.

    Is it just me?

Is all boils down to this: The mighty .40 S&W is a man's gun. Real men are not concerned with recoil or whatever "snappy" is. Anything less is merely a lady's purse gun.
  10. Looks good Kong. I've been meaning to put something together like this. Like FordGuy said, it's best not to glue it together. Once you let someone else shoot at it, pieces will need replacing. It's amazing how poorly some people run a gun. :-\
  11. Get a 40 and get Hydrostatic Shock off the charts. That will be my only contribution because caliber wars are BS and I personally like and carry the 40. On top of that I am dead-nuts accurate with it, even with follow up shots. The recoil is not that much worse than a 9mm and about on par with a 45. It is very controllable. Pick a freakin' caliber and learn how to shoot it. I feel the same way about the LCP I also like to carry. If that little gun is ever used, whoever is on the business end is going to have a very, very bad day. Since the chances of you ever having to use any weapon in a self defense situation is slim to none, pick what gun and caliber you are most comfortable with and learn how to use it.
  12. That's the fact. Thus the need for an insert video tool.
  13. How about something like "Can't beat my meat". Ya know, like you can't beat the quality of our product.
  14. I wouldn't give up just yet...every other person walking around had a gun in hand...for sale. It was a proper bazaar.

    Me or the gun?

Most likely it's you. Try printing this out and using for a target....
  16. Good to see everyone today and meet some new folks. Didn't really find anything that caught my eye enough to pull out the wallet but that GSG 1911 was certainly calling out. Came home with a pack of my favorite 22 targets and a funky stink about me. Don't think I've ever been to a more crowded show. This is the Expo after all, usually there is room to spread out and relax. Not today. There must have been a million people in there all sweating and farting up the place.
  17. Very nice collection you have. Now buy more bullets. You'll need them.
  18. A man and the business he owns, runs or works for is only worth his word. If he can't back it up, or won't..... That's all I have to say about that.
  19. I know for a fact you can. AIM Surplus even allows you to upload it when placing and order. Midway & the others...just email to their customer service address (ask them first via email to be sure) and you're good to go.
  20. I guess this is OS back in the day....
  21. John Marsh "Carbine" Williams invented the short-stroke gas piston used in the M1 carbine. He did not invent the rifle itself. If I recall correctly he was an employee of the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. that produced the first carbine prototype (in less than 90 days) based on a department of war bid. He may have invented the piston prior to becoming a Winchester employee. That is about his only acheivement, unlike John Moses Browning who also worked for Winchester. The US Rifle, Caliber 30 M1 was designed by John C. Garand, a Springfield Armory employee. He worked for the government back when SA was a manufacturer run by the military to produce small arms. Not the trade mark name we know now.
  22. If the rifles were indeed "loaned" to Korea they are still US property and should be returned to the US military, who would turn them over to the CMP for disposition. Unless something horrible happens like under Clinton when hundreds of thousands of Garands were chopped up and sent to the furnace. The vast majority of M1's sold by the CMP now have not been in US armorys for over 50 years. They are all from Greece and other countries, US property returned by the nations we lent them to.
  23. I tried that defense before..."Your honor, I was only maintaing the flow of traffic." He didn't buy it.
