  1. Mosins run around 2400-2900 fps depending on the ammo and rifle. Be aware that most (but not all) surplus ammo is steel-core.
  2. Excellent rifle.
  3. I had a dish but I took it to the range.
  4. You go playa. Gonna clean it up with Turtle Wax?
  5. Sportsmans's Guide is crazy. So I ordered 450 rounds of Yugoslavian 7.62x54r heavy ball the other day. This stuff right here: 15 Rds. 7.62x54r M30(j) 182 Gr. Ammo, Rifle Ammunition, Military/Surplus at Sportsman's Guide. Normally, this ammo is packed in 15 round boxes as pictured. Well, that is not what I received today! Opened up the box and inside were 30 boxes (30x15=450), not as pictured and not traditional Yugo packaging. All cheap white boxes that I've seen before with repacked, filthy, picked off the warehouse floor Yugo stuff. I was about to be pissed. Start going through the boxes which are obviously overloaded, opened one up and counted 18 shiny new rounds, all of the same year. I'm thinking maybe everything is ok until I pull the next box out and can plainly see gray colored cartridges inside, as in poly-coated steel. About to start cussing. Opened it up to find steel-cased, steel-core, green-tipped bullets, 18 of them. Green tip is commie for tracer. In all I received 25 18-round boxes of Yugo heavy ball for 450 rounds. More or less what I ordered, PLUS 5 18-round boxes (90 total) of Hungarian or Polish Tracers! Not endorsing SG or anything since the last time I ordered "Albanian brass-cased" x54r from them I got Russian steel. Not a big deal, ended up being as cheap if not a little cheaper than AIM.
  6. When you get your license send it to Midway and order this: "Firearms Acquisition and Disposition Record Book" Book - MidwayUSA
  7. Once again...is OC really a good idea?
  8. Yep. Saw his name in the opening creds. He looked a little....tan.
  9. Buckhead's alright, I'm just referring to the entire Atlanta area.
  10. My condolences.
  11. Perhaps she was "on the job" at the time.
  12. This. TN's metro areas will all fall within hours of each other. Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga are all connected by two of the most heavily travelled interstates in the country. The daily volume of intrastate-only traffic between these areas is massive. Add to that if the city folks are quick enough to catch on to what is happening there will be a mass exodus from the cities to where all you country folk are hold up. The entire state will be done within 36 hours. That's assuming we're talking about those freaky, fast-moving zombies. If they're the slow kind we probably have a little more time.
  13. Graf & Sons - P.C.I. AMMO 38 S&W 146gr LEAD ROUND-NOSE 50/bx
  14. I bought a shotgun several years ago strictly for turkey shoots after going to my first one. Only go to one every year and it's just good people down in the Maryville area having a good time. It's an NEF Pardner Pump ($200 at most reasonable places). Picked up a fill choke tube and that's about all it's used for. There is an 18 lb country ham in the fridge right now.
  15. This is all I have to say......
  16. I am a big fan of the RIA's for the budget conscious. Are you looking for a full-size, commander or compact? I have an RIA Compact Tactical and it has been absolutely flawless (and highly accurate) after about 500 rounds.
  17. Apparently the Germans have a problem with data privacy and protection issues. Seems like they believe in it. Cable Viewer What a riot.
  18. Read "One Second After" then you'll realize just how hopeless we are.
  19. Bait offered, bait taken.
  20. Since Camp Perry is in Ohio that really is taking the scenic route. Anniston, AL is home to the South Store. 90 miles west of ATL.
  21. I also am beginning to doubt some of this. Frontier spends lots of money locally on TV and Radio ads. Saw many commericals today during the UT-KY game. There are a couple of billboards on the interstate near the Kingston exit. I'd hate to think such an astute businessman would jump up on the internet and start pissing off potential customers to defend a semi-competitor that is driving themselves into the ground. I will never buy a gun from Frontier but coffee was offered the both times I visited. That first trip was after the Obamination and all the price tags were removed from the guns. If you have to ask....
  22. Cite some examples. For your information, many people order online because the local gun shop either does not have the desired item in stock or will only order at a premium from their distributor(s). Very few around here that I've noticed "brag" about ordering a gun online just to avoid taxes.
  23. Back in the day only property owners got to vote. Just sayin'.
  24. How many more times do you intend on accusing the TGO membership of being "tax cheats"? I've counted 6 or 7 so far and it's really getting old. I don't have a dog in this hunt but your tone is not conducive to attracting new customers.
