  1. Some use pages you print off the internet, I like this, because it's really nice: "Firearms Acquisition and Disposition Record Book" Book - MidwayUSA (and you get a worthy discount after you send them your license) Brownell's has a very inexpensive option: BROWNELLS : FIREARMS RECORD BOOKS - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools

    1911? :)

Speaking as the owner of a Rock Island Compact Tactical it is an excellent choice. While you may have different results mine has run flawlessly through 500 rounds and is very, very accurate.
  3. Did you get it at Bed City in Chattanooga?
  4. Sid, SOG's website sucks but if you're hankering for an 82 the sale price should be good again tomorrow (Wednesday).
  5. Well congratulations! There is no more enjoyable rifle than a Garand.
  6. If you are referring to the new Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbines...buy an original for the same amount (or maybe a few $ more).
  7. Ooh, nice. That specimen was not there yesterday. Tell us about it.
  8. It's European "law enforcement" with a capitalistic flair. Coming soon to a theatre near you.
  9. The speed cams have been up for a coupla years now in Oak Ridge. They'll be in Memphis soon enough and Knoxville, Nashville, etc. Unfortunately, there's not a damn thing you can do about it except embrace the madness.
  10. Carry the LCP with pride and confidence. It delivers a bullet accurately and reliably. Who wants to be on the receiving end? And if the hits the fan, depending on your definition, well you're probably screwed regardless.
  11. Saw one Nagant pistol for $169 if you're interested. Did get to behold the new XDM Compact...basically a 3.8 with chopped off handle. For the asking price and utility, no. But there is potential for the design, as in shorted the barrrel.
  12. Email sent. One with four landmarks. (if you're from West Tn.)

I wonder if Greene Military on Kingston Pike or Cherokee Suplus on Broadway would have something appropriate?
  14. If it's any consolation there's a show in Knoxville this weekend.

    Gun Ranges

What do you mean by "have a go at"?
  16. That must have really been a big, strong, fast, threatening 67-year old for a 20-year old to feel a need to punch. Just sayin'. Of course we do not have all the details.
  17. There is no hazmat fee on loaded ammunition. That only applies to primers & power for reloading.

    What's RSO again?

    Gun Ranges

Unless something has changed John Sevier range (the one on Rifle Range Rd) is $5.50 for two hours. 100 yards max. Supply your own targets or they sell them for like a quarter. As long as you don't cross an RSO, you'll be fine. I've never had a problem there. There is also a range (up to 205 yrds) in Norris. Unsupervised. $40 for one year pass available from the Norris PD.
  21. Now, now OS, we all know that guns do not kill people. I'm utterly astounded no one picked up on this.
  22. I put Tetra grease on the rails of mine and it runs like a champ. It even makes it shoot faster.
  23. I was reading that very page last night.
