  1. I really wish you'd figure out who you want to be. Beard on, beard off. I'll sport my TGO lid but it's hasn't gotten me any dates at all the shows I've worn it at.
  2. If only we could buy Monarch in Knoxville...
  3. I haven't met Dolomite and need to rectify that. There are a bunch of us locals meeting at the usual time...door opening on Saturday morning. Would be great if you could be there. Same to you Lumber_Jack.
  4. In line by Nine. That's the time.
  5. For that distance I would recommend a gas-operated semi-auto if you are recoil sensitive. You can shoot a heavier bullet with the recoil reduction that gas guns provide. Something along the lines of a Remington Woodsmaster which comes in a proper caliber like 30-06 , but also in 308, 270, 243 and some other obscure sizes.
  6. How old is it? Chances are it will cost more to fix than it's worth. Buy a new one.

    "fashon guns?"

  8. You chose wisely. Enjoy!
  9. Being suspicious often comes from doing something wrong. If she is so concerned about your doings maybe she's hiding something. Bluntly, every girlfriend I ever had cheated on me. I never did. Did I mention women are crazy?
  10. You're not gonna like my advice either. That behavior is unacceptable. You are young and have a lot of good years left. Wait until your late 30's to marry a crazy girl. That's what I did. It's not any better but at least you get to enjoy life without too much drama.
  11. So, other than the single-action mechanism and relatively low mag capacity how is the 1911 "out dated". Because it's not plastic? Beause the firing pin is not a striker? There is no other handgun on this planet that has been through four very serious, brutal and deadly confrontations and is still widely produced and used. I don't have a dog in this hunt, the military can use whatever they please. Do we have any members here that have used a 1911 in combat that might shed the light of experience on the issue?
  12. There have probably been more .32 autos made than any other caliber in the past 100+ years. Some of them are old, some are increadibly cheap. Something to thing about.

    Oh Shoot

Well ain't he Mr. Popular. Guess I got the last PM in.
  14. mikegideon beat me to the punch as I was thinking Luger & Ruger. Personally, I like the grip angle.
  15. While Mr. Givens presents an excellent argument in the editorial and I am profoundly shocked it appeared in the CA, let's not overlook the fact that this is still the viewpoint of the editor....
  16. Where's yours?
  17. That is a great looking Mosin!
  18. They way they've been robbing banks in Knoxville I tend to agree. Same goes for drugstores.
  19. Well, one probably costs 3 times more than the other and does the same thing. I would go with the BSA.
  20. He most likely didn't have a weapon of any kind. All you need is a note to rob a bank.
  21. I bet 3 1/2" shells are a real pleasure to shoot out of it.
  22. Preparations must be made!
  23. It is excellent ammo based on my experience. Matter of fact since I put a fancy target barrel on my 10/22 this is the only bulk ammo it will feed reliably. Very accurate in my application as well. As always with .22 ammo your results may vary. $16/box shipped is a great price.
