Seems to me the point of this is "Do you believe in space aliens?". Do I believe there is life on other planets? Absolutely. Our little galaxy is but an indescribable blip in the infinite universe. Like R11 said, it's MIM. Metal Injection Molding. Basically, instead of a steel part being machined it is created from a mold. There is much discussion of the relative merits of this process and the durability of the results. It is a manufacturing process that allows manufacturers to cut costs....and not pass those savings along to the consumer. The quest today is to find a new gun that does not have MIM parts and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it. You can't.

Don't know why you need a gunsmith. Depending on the amount of rust in question a good deal of it can be removed with 0000 steel wool in combination with liberal amounts of oil.

The only Mosins were of the collectible variety, not your average $100 WWII Russians. The one OS mentions is an old Remington made during WWI (or was it Westinghouse? I disremember). There were a few Finnish Mosins as well.

I really enjoyed the show. If you are looking for a new Glock go elsewhere, there were only a few. I'd say it was probably 85-90% old, collectable and mostly all in excellent condition. I was in heaven. There was only about two tables that did not have guns. It was just like shows used to be a long, long time ago.
