  1. They run some fine CMP matches in Oak Ridge. 2011 Match Schedule
  2. Call up Robertson's Trading Post down in Henderson and see if they have any 870 Police Magnum trade-ins. That'll get you half-way there on a much better gun.
  3. That's alot better packed than when it's delivered to the store via UPS/FedEx or whatever. Youe are good to go.
  4. Just started listening to the archive but am trying to keep up with west side weather. Have linked for later. That's some good old-timey radio.
  5. Kyle Busch = punk.
  6. The last POTUS knelt and kissed.
  7. or kiss the Pope's ring. Whatta tool.
  8. and book club.
  9. I seriously doubt this is the last you'll hear of Oprah.
  10. Back on topic.... Nice rifle! Is it your first Mosin or do you have the disease?
  11. There is a gun show in Knoxville June 11-12 where most of these guns will be on display for your fondling enjoyment. You won't be able to get a feel for the trigger as they will all have those twist ties goofing them up but you can get a sense of what's out there. The exception would be CZ's as you never see to many of those at shows, but there is usally one or two.
  12. Can you really put a price on tactical?
  13. I assume so. They still have a website and sell stuff on Gun Broker.
  14. Down there in Seymour at the Rocky Top Armory. The one's I have have been luck. It's what the store had, etc. The '82 I bought directly from them at a gun show a year or so ago (the 1st and only time I've seen them at one). They supply all the major C&R vendors just like CAI, RGUNS and the others. They also sell on GB, usually more obscure and one off specimens, but regular stuff too.
  15. That is a TGI (Tennessee Guns, Inc.), a local importer. They have always put the import stamp in fairly small letters, near the end of the barrel. That is why I prefer their rifles. They don't ruin the receiver with billboards. My CZ-82 is from TGI as well. Their mark is on the underside of the slide so it is not visible unless you turn it upside down.
  16. Noted for future reference.
  17. These last two are classic.
  18. I'll remember that!
  19. Why did Glock try to "improve" their design? Simple, because gun-owners are like everyone else, they think new is better. That and they could not keep up with the competition who started including all kinds of extra gimmicks that people seem to need (for whatever reason). Give me a Gen 2 any day.
  20. There is also the Big South Fork Scenic Railway.... Big South Fork Scenic Railway - Home Page
  21. Here is a link to all the owner's manuals. They kinda beat around the bush about it but generally, yes you can shoot 5.56 out of a Mini-14. Make sure to check the manuals for your specific year or model. Except the Target model as pointed out. Ruger Instruction Manuals & Product History#
  22. Yep, but no one really notices at WalMart as many shoppers already exhibit some type of bizarre behavior.
  23. That guy should be publicly flogged. There is a difference between making a few dollars off a sale and outright robbery. I hope the old-timer that sold the guns knew what he was doing. Chances are he did not.
  24. I don't think there's enough TP at Sam's to finish up that meal.
  25. They are in TN alright, mostly on the West side. Don't think I've heard of one in ET.
