    Maybe Brangelina is a believer.
  2. Dear Editor— I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, “If you see it in The Sun, it’s so.” Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus? Virginia O’Hanlon Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished. Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies. You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world. You tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived could tear apart. Only faith, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding. No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives and lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
  3. If this is the best the Republican party can put up then Obama will win in 2012. I'm to the point of accepting bets on it.

This is what needs a movie!
  5. i was surprised to see KPD there as well. OhShoot talked to the RK guy for a while and apparently there where many, many complaints from people about the rent-a-cops. I guess everyone got tired of the ammo thieving.

The movie version of WWZ is coming out next year starring Brad Pitt.
  7. McLintock! is excellent.
  8. No. Most of them are just places for people to offer unsolicited and often infuriating opinions.
  9. He also used Colt Walkers.
  10. Where the bullet goes.
  11. If it slides grease it. So many problems can easily be avoided if people would follow that simple rule...especially where 1911's are concerned. I use Tetra grease but that's just me. I do have a lifetime supply in a tub bought for changing an AR barrel. Will probably start using it when the Tetra runs out. Dolomite_supafly uses it on everthing and swears by it . Maybe he'll be along soon.

  14. The changing cylinders is easy. Looking bad-ass while doing it is the hard part.
  15. +1 on the Pietta's from Cabela's. They are of excellent quality at great prices.
  16. A Memphis jury will probably let the scum go.

  18. Look like factory crimps to me. Are those brass cases Aguila by any chance?
  19. The massive Smith & Wesson 460 will also fire 454 Casull and 45 Colt.
  20. Ruger does make such a 10/22 as a "distrubutor exlcusive". I'm wondering about the display model as well. Did you not inspect what was in the box before leaving? FYW, the barrel is going to be the only stainless part on any "stainless" 10/22. The receivers are made of aluminum and just painted silver....or black. And what Dolomite said.
  21. So do the metal Kahr's have the same long, spongy trigger pull? My experience is limited to the CW9.
  22. I wonder if this is to support some new gun design or current production. If it is the former, Colt does not exactly have a great reputation when it comes to new ideas. Maybe it's for the reintroduction of the Mustang.
  23. I really wouln't worry about it. If you've got a "new", as in just pulled from a crate of refurbed rifles, numbers matching Mosin it is good to go. If you are worried strap the thing to a tree, load it, tie a string to the triger and tear off a few rounds.
  24. No one. The :poop:ball is rolling downhill and there is no way to stop it.
  25. Why do people continue to do stupid crap like this?
