  1. Yep, and I reckon that snuffleupagus monkeylizard posted is about 5,000 pounds.
  2. I want to know that as well. He's granting waivers to many states, like 2/3's of them including TN, for "No Child Left Behind" requirements they cannot meet. Obama's been very busy this week.
  3. Have never heard a postive comment about him or from him. Too bad, so sad. Hopefully if he does go under someone else will step in providing quality products at an affordable price and is considerate of the clientele.
  4. Obama, along with every other member of Congress was elected. Until they must answer to the people for their actions there is no stopping them. Elections just don't cut it and are becoming a farce. They get away with the vast majority of what they do with ridiculous "rules", not laws, put in place by both parties. The people select representatives on the basis of trust. That trust is broken day after day. Now, that being said I have no solution to propose.
  5. If you go to your profile, look over on the left where a picture should be. It should say "Change". Click on that to bring up a dialog to upload a picture from your computer. It needs to be pretty small, but it will resize automatically. It least that what it looks like to me. I'm not trying it, I might loose my identity.
  6. There are entirely too many new members with no Avatar, and maybe a few old-timers too. The place is looking a little generic because of that. Can you apply some sort of default image, like Alfred E. Newman or somthing, as an incentive to pick something.
  7. The genius is being charged with discharging a firearm inside the city. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2012/feb/10/knoxville-police-charge-vendor-who-accidentally/
  8. I found that a wad of crumpled up paper of some kind will hold the ball in long enough if you want to shoot it horizontal.
  9. SOG doesn't have the greatest reputation but I got my M39 from them as well. It's gorgeous and has a 1916 Remington receiver.
  10. Just regular old blanks. Did you get a Bloom Automatic or one of the screw-on kinds? Had one on a Yugo SKS, it was great fun.
  11. Kinda reminds me of when I was house hunting. Not knowing anything about mortgages I stepped into a finance/mortgage company in downtown Knoxville during lunch one day out of curiosity. I asked about home loans and they were kind enough to tell be right off the bat that I did not want a loan from them as I obviously did not need their services. I believe their rates were somewhere around 20-25%. That was just 10 years ago.
  12. This. They are great mags that do not have the rib on the back, Chinese-style. Apparently they were either made in China and send to Yugoslavia or made there on Chinese equipment. They are sold as surplus European mags and are basically brand new. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=MAK47E30&name=Surplus+European+Steel+AK47+7.62x39+30rd+Magazines&groupid=15
  13. Check Fisher Tire on Kingston Pike.
  14. The retaining spring pin hole should go all the way through to the other side. Get a small punch or nail and push the broken pin out.
  15. They must be waiting for customs to clear it. It's Chinese don't ya know.
  16. Actually, most of the Russian .223 is bi-metal jacket. Lead core with a steel jacket coated in copper. "Steel core" has steel underneath the jacket but is not solid steel. It usually encases some lead. True armor piercing ammo has a solid steel core.
  17. In what context? Where are these numbers?
  18. Academy and Goose Mountain both sell it. According to the comical Goose Mountain sale catalog I got in the mail the other day it's in sale for $149.99 there through the 19th...after $30 mail in rebate.
  19. When all else fails, read the directions.
  20. The green tip is 5.56 NATO (not .223) steel-core penetrator.
  21. Was it 5.56 XM855 green tip? If so that stuff is going for $139-149 on the interwebz, so that price it not totally unreasonable...if you had to have it right then.
  22. Facebook just filed for an IPO to begin selling stock in May. Have no idea if it will take off or not but as an example Google stock started at $85 the day they went public in 2004. At market close yesterday is was $606.77. I image it will take off as well. If you can find a broker to get in on that it might be a worthy "gamble"
  23. Not toast but Scrambled Eggs. That's the only way to cook'em.
  24. "Like" Back to the resizing....Tried site in Firefox with the same results. Switching to the IP.Board theme fills up the browser nicely so it's looking like something in the TGO theme. Just an FYI if you didn't already know.
