I like this idea, if you are referring to the ejector. Check that "tab" looking protrusion on the left inside the receiver it should be flat and smooth. BTW, never let the hammer drop on an AK without the bolt and carrier in place as the hammer will beat the ejector mercilessly.

I see no way that replacing the stock would cause that. Are you riding the bolt or letting it slam shut?

I seriously doubt it. US troops were not issued weapons by UN command, Lugers where well retired by the 50's and American soldiers have quite a history of taking personal arms into combat. Again, it was a .30 Luger. Not a common thing even back then.

His crew always wears blue denimish shirts and he kinda looks like Jim Scoutten from the Shooting USA show. At Chillhowee they usually set up at the head of a couple of aisles over to the left as you enter.
