  1. Nice rifle! How long will you keep it? I really like .357 lever guns and have enjoyed shooting OhShoot's. Passed on a pretty good deal on a .44 Marlin at the show last weekend but I'd like to have one of those as well. Marlin really needs to make one in .500 S&W. That would be awesome.
  2. How about a "Hey, Look What the Liberal Said" thread? We could post every irrelevant Obama or libtard related comment there.
  3. There was a great deal on .50 cal ammo cans at the show. $20/ea or two for $30.
  4. That's what I was thinking.
  5. It's very simple. Carry factory ammo in a defense gun. Why give some hotshot lawyer (or DA) a technicality to dispute if you ever find yourself in court just for the sake of saving a few dollars?
  6. Nope. But the top groove is just enough, by a hair, to not let my middle finger be comfortable. Not a problem on a 17/22 Gen 3. ...and what OS just said. We've had this discussion at length at dealer tables trying to find a comfortable grip on Gen 3 compact. Gen 4's on the other hand are a great improvement as the groove is not quite as pronounced, at least for me.
  7. A Gen 2 19/23 is the perfect pistol. Glock really screwed it with the grooves in the Gen 3 for those two.
  8. Yes. Caster will want it.
  9. Perhaps, but it has always been a concern of mine thinking of the process. I know there are plenty of fine, upstanding NFA dealers out there.
  10. Hope you guys are having a great time!
  11. This thread, besides the cost involved, is why I have never attempted to buy a suppressor. There is no way in hell my "property" would be in the hands of some gun store for that amount of time. Maybe I have trust issues....but when it comes to something like this there is no reason whatsoever to take your NFA, federally regulated item out for a joy ride. OP, out the dealer once you get your can. They really should not even be in the business and most likely should be reported.
  12. Coming soon to a country near you.... There are often riots in this country, not of a financial nature, but they do happen. We are slowly coming back, depending on who you talk to, from a financial crisis that has lasted several years...only by the guvment spending trillions of dollars they do not have. No kind of change is going to pay for the money this country owes. It's just a matter of time. Please Lord, wait till I'm gone for the meltdown.
  13. It's when the bullet actually hits one of the baffle plates inside the suppressor. Not good.
  14. I might need to shed myself of some.
  15. As a new C&R holder you are obligated to buy at least one Mosin.
  16. They may not have you plugged in yet....or you are looking at reloading dies for which there is NO discout, at least for me on Lee dies.
  17. I just discovered that AIM Surplus has Russian 7.62x54r on stripper clips. Loaded and canned up in 1947. Great opportunity to get orginal Mosin clips that work.

    8K "reptile" gun

I think that was my last episode. Apparently Wyatt just throws out some random, obscene number to see if an idiot will bite. For 8K those two guns should have been plated in solid gold with platinum inlays having the capability to load and shoot themselves while you sit back and watch. All that without the stupid huge Gunsmoke logo permanently defacing them.
  19. Regardless of the vast miscarriage of justice with the ordering of new trials for the worthless scum that killed Christian and Newsom..... Liberals don't exactly have a monopoly on hateful, vitriolic, inflammatory, ignorant and sometimes dangerous rhetoric.

    Need help...

    Or Indiana.
  21. That's a Gewehr (gun) 98 made at the Erfurt aresenal in 1916. A WWI era German Mauser 98 that has been cared for poorly. Stock has been butchered. It is 8x57 Mauser caliber....or at least originally. Looks like the barrel is original so I'd say it still is 8mm.
