There really is no comparison between a Kahr and the Shield's trigger. I have no experience with the M&P line but the trigger has a very positive reset and takeup. I compare it to a Glock but the pull is much heavier. When they say it feels like a full-size pistol I think the trigger is part of it. You know exactly when the thing is going to go off.

Don't forget to overload your bug-out bag with cleaning stuff.

You people are a horrible influence. I just went and cleaned a gun that did not need it as I only put about 60 rounds through it 2 months ago.

This. Unless you are using steel cleaning rods and brushes, there is no way cleaning a gun is going to cause any premature wear.

I would just load up on surplus ammo now while it's available. Those conversion cylinders cost almost as much as the gun does.

There is a little spring and detent that go into those awful safeties on the Romanian. Do you happen to loose one or both of those? You may find the gun works better without the safety. I had one and the hammer would not drop with a fully loaded mag inserted...most of the time.

If shooting mil-surps with corrosive ammo I clean within a couple of hours. Everything else is when I feel like it. Cleaning guns sucks.
