  1. I see.  Have had hands on a squid rail before and thought it was the greatest thing ever.  Always wanted something similar for a Midwest SS Gen 1 rail but that's it the really need to sell box.
  2. What are these grommets for that you speak of?
  3.   Yes and no.  Corrosive ammo is not difficult to clean up after but the chrome bore might allow you a little more time to do it.  Kinda of a moot point if you consider the gas system is not chrome-lined and will rust up faster than you could ever believe.   BTW,  milsurp 7.62x39 is a rarity these days.  However, I treat it all as corrosive after being burned a couple of years ago on NEW manufacture Russian ammo (KSAP).  It is not only corrosive, it is seriously corrosive.  Unfortunately, it's really good ammo.  Anytime I get new 7.62 ammo I will shoot some, save a couple spent cases, then clean as if corrosive.  If it's corrosive, the cases will show in a couple of days as they are steel.
  4.   They did, but Russia started making the things in 1891.   My first M39 had an 1896 receiver.  The one I have now has a 1916 Remington receiver.
  5.   That's actually cheaper than buying a $49.99 blem from PSA once you add on shipping and transfer fee.
  6. The NPAP's are better built, higher quality.   The WASR has a chrome-lined barrel.   It's a trade-off.
  7. To possibly further complicate the issue that Mosin he's carrying (technically a Finnish M39) is an antique...pre-1899 receiver.

    Gun dealers in TN?

I think we definitely has as much fun as you and Ellie at both the show and range.  A day to remember.  Best experience with "new shooters" ever!   Sounds like you made it home with that steel tube, hopefully without too much trouble.   If you ever come this way again just let us know.
  9. Have you contacted whoever you got this from to find out what it is.....before I lose my mind?
  10.   What is regular pricing?
  11.   In this digital age it gets rewritten daily,
  12. WTF!   There's some interesting information out there about this.  Apparently, they have models both with and without.  Swastikas are outlawed in Germany and Revell is a German company (or part of it is, typical corporate voodoo).  That's the extent of my research.
  13. It's a doohickey.
  14.   $65-$70 before taxes and/or shipping.

    Knoxville area?

There are bullet holes all over Norris that just should not be there.  Keep your head on a swivel at that place.
  17.   The movie was Gator and that wasn't Richard Kiel, it was some other giant of a man.   From what I've heard from someone who met him he was a really nice guy in person.  A gentle giant.

    Knoxville area?

Been a couple of years ago since I've been but there's usually a few people there.  It is a "controlled" range with range officers and a certain way of doing things.

  21.   See post #29.
  22. They'll have to get people wearing a watch again, which I'm never gonna do.  BTW, it requires an iPhone from what I understand.
